So I’ve been checking out PE for a little over a year now and decided to finally make my Thunder’s debut. Hello! Thanks for all the info and for the supportive community; there are a lot more lurkers out there who appreciate this stuff than you think. Before I get to my question let me give a little background about myself.

I initially found out about PE last year, doing random searches on the Internet (lets not get into the the details). Incredulous at first, I finally decided to give it a shot because of the claims of improved erections and health. I was, sadly, one of those 21 year-olds with ED. That’s no good, fellas. After a few months, my length halted to about 6.6”, girth slightly improved to 4.75” at best, and in the middle of my philosophizing, I did one stretch a little too hard and called it quits.

Fast forward to last December. I lost about half an inch in length and wanted to get boners of steel again so I fired it up one more time. I got back to where I left off in less than two weeks, but no improvements the following few weeks. A few days ago I ran the LOT check on myself and decided I should try some tunica stretching, especially because I found it very difficult to stretch upwards. Wrong answer! Well, I chanced an inverted V-stretch, and just as I literally touched my dick on the underside, my little partner in sin screamed in pain (not sharp, more long and nonspecific). Since then my left ball has been slightly achy (and/or a lig, not really sure. My strategy is to not even bother investigating and let it sort itself out on it’s own).

As I sit here resting, hoping this feeling goes away on it’s own without the necessity of a doctors visit, I ask myself: why do I do this? First, congratulations on fixing your ED.

As to the rest of your post, I have been thinking about some of these issues a lot recently. This will be a long post.

Where I am coming from — I lurked at Thunder’s for a year, and just started a newbie routine in December 2007. I have had some good gains so far with it.

1a. Spending an hour or more — I’ve got time limitations, so I have split the routine up into two parts - AM stretching, PM jelqing. It makes it more manageable for me.

1b. Are you over-training? — maybe you are doing tooooooooo much. From your description, it does sound like you were overdoing it. And that it has been counterproductive for you (injury etc.) I have been using a real "less is more" approach to PE. It seems to be working for a fair number of guys. It would also address your time commitment issue. Why spend time doing 250 jelqs when doing 90 to 100 may give you better results? Just a couple links — I am doing something similar to this:

3. why bother for a few inches? — If you are completely happy with the size of your penis, then why bother — I agree with you. And I agree with you too on this — it really upsets me to see a lot of guys on Thunder’s who won’t take a chance with women until they reach some "magical size." I just want to go on a wild posting spree: "Your Dick Is Big Enough To Satisfy A Woman — You Think You Are Small, But You Aren’t."

You and I have similar stats, and I think similar experiences — the women we’ve been with like what they are getting, and really there is a lot to the expression "It ain’t what you got, it is how you use it."

And quite frankly, I am not sure what most women would make of the Thunder’s IDEAL 8x6. Some of the comments in this thread sorta confirm it for me.

So why am I bothering with this? Dunno, I just want a bigger dick! Almost for the heck of it. I am enjoying my newbie gains a lot. It is just fun to be longer and a little heftier. And the workouts are fun. Why not have a little "me time" every couple of days. I think I have learned more about how my penis works from this.

All I can say here is that each member is an individual, and every member will have a different reason as to why they PE for one or more hours a day. Why they want that certain sized penis and why they’re actually here.

Many members started here with the same ED problems as you, or a lot worse and have overcome those problems and found that PE benefits them in that way. Some have been burnt by ex-lovers or girlfriend who may have made a wise crack about the size of their penis. There’s even many members that have never had any sexual experience at all, and want their penis to be in the best shape possible before their first encounter.

I myself have a body image in my head that I’d like to be. Now I know I can loose weight and build muscle, but increasing the size of my penis is an added bonus. Plus I’ve always felt a little insecure about my penis size, and being a member here at Thunders and increasing my penis size has helped me overcome that.

What I’m trying to say is, I don’t think anyone else at this site can tell you why you should or shouldn’t be here, it’s all down to you.

My First Real Attempt:

2006 Start: 6.25" BPEL and 5" EG - 2012 7.625" BPEL / 4.875" EG / 8.063" BPFSL. (All manual routine)

Kingdingaling has some very good points and it made me think of an analogy:

In 2004 I took up weightlifting again after many many years off. (why I stopped I will never know).

Since then I have put on about 15 to 20lbs of muscle.

Two things — First, the health benefits have been great, and the act of weightlifting is really enjoyable to me.

Secondly I found out I just like having the extra muscle. I like the feeling of having more solidity, and I am more aware of my body as a physical entity in the world. I have more of a “presence” which in turn makes me feel more connected to the world and other people. I like that.

Now that my flaccid hangs better and is a little thicker, I am now indeed aware of its presence. I pretty much know I have a penis at all times.

That’s a good feeling too. And it keeps me motivated to carry on.

Hey, like you, I have been a lurker for a little while and this is my first post.
I liked this thread, it is quite interesting and got me thinking on why I was doing PE:

First of all, my dick is a 6 inch (NBP) 5 inch in girth and I don’t know if I am right or wrong but I feel really insecure about my size, and I mean REALLY. Most of my insecurity and fear is because I have a girlfriend right now (actually my first girlfriend, I just turned 18) who I have been with for 4 months now and I am scared of making out with her because of my size, and of course sex is unthinkable. So I want to leave all this fears behind cause I don’t want this issue to mess up my relationship cause I really love her and I want to do everything with her but I don’t want to be a disappointment for her.

There are many other reasons but this could turn into a long post so ill just mention this one cause it is my main reason of why I’m here.

Thanks for the replies. You all brought up some good points. For some reason, I didn’t think about this stuff affecting me ALL day long. I only considered it’s benefit in situations like sex or initially dropping your boxers, by which time she’ll probably do you anyway. That’s a huge one (no pun intended).

Also, you’re all probably right about taking my injuries as a sign. I guess it was one of those “won’t happen to me” kind of things that you stand by until it’s too late. I was actually very careful at first about PE and went light between one of two routines. Admittedly though, when I was first trying to figure out PE, the wealth of information on this site was a bit intimidating and I ended up using some routines off of another site, which in retrospect, are slightly more involved than the newbie routine (but not by much). What I don’t understand is that I didn’t really change my routine and the injury sort of happened. It’s not like one day I decided to double everything in my routine and ripped my dick off. I stuck to two routines and actually saw gains in the beginning. But one thing’s for sure: It’s only been from stretches, and my dick has always been quite inflexible. I never understood how you guys are able to stretch it to your EL and beyond.

I know what you mean when you say the difference between the guy who she wants to fuck versus marry, but my point was that, regardless of whether you’re hung like a horse or like an AAA battery, she’s not going to fuck the guy who has such little self worth that he’ll let his wife sleep around with other dudes just to see to her happiness. You and I have similar stats, you are more blessed in the girth dept than I am. I had anxiety like you for a while when I was young, and it held be back a little while like it is holding you back. But once I had sex, I started to realize that I had more than enough to make a woman happy. Later I began to see the studies on penis size. You are not small at all. So forget about it.

Hey man, I can’t do that either. Somebody told me on Thunder’s that it was “impossible” that my stretched was 2 inches shorter than EL. Well, stretched is always going to be shorter than EL for me. But I don’t care!!!! I am not sure it really matters.

Their relationship was out the door anyway. I’m all for experimenting but that was a recipe for disaster.
