Measuring girth correctly

I need some input on measuring girth correctly. I use what I call a “sewing tape measure” for my girth measurements which come out at exactly 5.5”, but I look way smaller than 5.5”. Is the tape measure that I have good for measuring girth correctly? I just don’t see how I have a 5.5” mid shaft girth, it’s just small looking. Hell maybe it looks small because I have it in my head that I am small. I don’t know.

Measure your measuring tape with a ruler to see if it is accurate.

I had a tape that was not accurate.

However, I am betting that you measuring correctly and it is accurate. It is hard to accurately perceive your own size, sometimes. Just like you said, you have one thing in your head — it will take a little while for your head to catch up with reality.

Should I measure the base of my penis or the fattest place?

Many measure midshaft and base. Some also measure head girth.

The generally accepted girth measurement is midshaft.

When you say you unit doesn’t look 5.5 girth, is this from a top down perspective or side view in mirror? If it is the former, then I think your perception is based upon the width as opposed to girth. This can be a bit misleading.

I had problems measuring too. The CS is so easily suppressed when you pull the tape round, it has to be very loose. But if that’s the case it might only be the skin being measured.

Maybe this isn’t the correct way to measure, but I pull the tape around pretty hard to get a good measurement. I suppose I’d be a little bigger if I just measured without compressing the CS.

I wish I didn’t feel like I had to stealth pe and get my GF to measure for me. I swear I can’t get as hard as I do when I’m having sex.

My base girth measurement varies depending on EQ. When I`m really hard I`m nearly 5 3/4” girth.

After clamping for an hour or so I get a little over 6” at the base.

I need to stop clamping as it`s restricting my length growth…even though it feels so good.

When reporting girth measurement, is it not consistent among members to post mid-shaft measurement? Some don’t specify where the measurement is taken from.

Yes. Measure it out with a ruler if you need some more confirmation. The rest is just perception.

Yes, by most. Most in PE will either measure mid-shaft and list that measurement, or take 2-3 measurements along the shaft and then average them together. Just about everybody else measures somewhere in the middle or measures at the thickest part.

Yeah, just looking from top down my dick looks skinny, like there should be more width to it. Sometimes I think my dick is deformed because the top is completely flat while the sides and bottom are round.

My midshaft girth is 5.7 and a bit over 2” wide,
But when I look at my penis from the top I find
It very skinny which I think is just in my head since
Other members here find it is a good girth.

I was maybe thinking of recording me & my g/f having sex to see if my dick looks bigger in video. You know those porn movies have guys with huge dicks but at a different angle some look small. Just a theory I was thinking about trying out probably will never happen since my g/f would not be comfortable recording our sex.
