Overtrained? Reverse Damage
*May be suited for the Injuries and Treatments forum, I’m short of the 30 post requirement*
I fail. A lot. As in life, so is with PE. It’s pretty easy to get caught up, to believe it’s impossible, to quit. I’ve taken this route before. However, I just won’t do that. Not here. Not now.
I don’t like my circumstances, I’m worried I’ve done irreversible damage. So if you’re anything like me and have a challenge before you that’s daunting, one that you’re not sure you can overcome, then know that I’m in that position now, and I’m tired of believing life is hopeless. Instead, here I’ll put one foot in front of the other in the best direction I can find, take a breath, and repeat. I succeed sometimes too. So does anyone that doesn’t quit. I want to turn my hopelessness, your hopelessness, into inspiration and changed lives.
Here is my situation.
INJURY
I’ve dabbled for a long time, and a couple years ago I gave PE my best effort. I even saw some modest gains! Unfortunately a couple months in I noticed my right side cavernosa was gaining more than my left. Before long there was a noticeable curve to the left. I also noticed the left side near the glans was a little bit numb. I did what any prudent PE’er would do, I took a break. An extended break that’s turned into a couple years.
From my reading I believe I overtrained. As time went on I’ve been hoping to find myself back to square 1 so I can begin a lighter routine. Sadly, the left side is still in unsatisfactory shape. The right side is plump and healthy looking, the left is shriveled, dense, almost indented when looking from certain angles. When I get a semi, the right side fills up first and the curve to the left is alarming. However, when I’m fully hard it straightens to only a slight curve possibly only noticeable to me.
DIAGNOSIS
I’ve read through everything I can. I have some bumps/veins that can be a little sore at times, but I don’t think the issue is thrombosed veins or clogged lymph vessels. I don’t think it’s full blown Peyronie’s Disease as I can achieve erections without show-stopping pain, although perhaps some minor soreness, and the curve isn’t terribly exaggerated.
My guess is that I’ve overworked and damaged the tunica and perhaps some of the spongy cavernosa on the left side. On the home page firegoat has a post that says “tissues that have been over ‘toughened’ in the past will gain strength, not length quickly again”. I fear this is what I’ve done. I’ve accepted it, and whatever consequences lay before me.
TREATMENT
Thanks for reading, this was longer than I expected. I’d like to know whether I’ve evaluated my situation correctly and what I can do to reverse the damage to the left side.
I’ve taken 2 years off from PE, I’m 35, never married, not getting any younger.. I don’t want to take 2 more years off. I want to start actively taking steps. I want to be able to look a woman in the eyes and know that I’m valuable enough for her. Thank you for any time and insight! I hope to follow this through to a happy conclusion, providing a case study and inspiration to anyone with similar injuries/situations.
Best,
