Improving FLOW [not pressure] hinges on two main factors:
-Improving supply
-Decreasing resistance
Supply is limited by arterial constriction and overall cardiovascular health. When not aroused, the supply to the penis is normally somewhat restricted. Aside from being aroused, we’re able to increase dilation of arteries and therefore supply with things like PDE4 inhibitors. There’s much ado around l-Arginine, but it doesn’t really do much in the doses that we can tolerate taking orally. Realistically, the best way to improve blood supply is with diet and exercise to promote overall cardiovascular health. It’s worth noting, that there are almost certainly guys who can achieve improved blood supply mentally with meditation or other mind-body strategies; never underestimate the power of the mind to affect genuine physiologic change.
Resistance to flow, in the penis, is influenced the most by the muscles of the pelvic floor. Kegel exercises tighten the muscles which in turn constrict venous outflow from the penis, causing increased tumescence. So if you want improved flow, which is a good thing when you aren’t actively doing pressure type PE, you have to relax the muscles of the pelvic floor. That is readily achieved with mind-body strategies.
For best flow, you ideally would want to dilate arteries supplying blood as well as relax the pelvic floor to maximize venous drainage.
For arousal/erection, the body deliberately increased arterial flow and restricts venous outflow.
