Why do I always gain but THEN always lose it

This has been the pattern for me…Been going on for a year now.

I make gains, continue what I’m doing, then lose the gains (and MORE sometimes) within a 2-3 weeks time.

I don’t overtrain because my EQ never goes south.

In 12 months now, I have had this happen to me 5 times. I’m right where I left off back in January of 2009.

Can you say “very frustrating and discouraging”?

Hormones, temperature, stress, ugly women, homework, mid term finals, finals, caffeine.

Speak softly carry a big dick, I'm mean stick!

You gain and lose doing the routine?.

bigger-8inchM!

So you never actually stop doing the routine?

Well after a year it’s time to change your routine anyway.

Start hanging and clamping if you haven’t already.

Otherwise just increase everything I guess. After a year you should be well conditioned and safe to step it up.

Alternatively, although you say you don’t lose EQ, you may be one of the ‘less is more’ people and are simply doing to much, perhaps not letting healing occur. That seems unlikely though, it is a strange issue.

Hmm… I am thinking you need an ADS, and more heat… never go wrong with more heat.

GatorLandon, my guess is that you are using too much force.

I don’t know your routine, but, generally speaking, as fars as length is concerned the issue you are having is often caused by heavy hanging and/or manual stretches with too much force..
Girthwise, it is caused mostly by pumping with high pressures, clamping and even jelqing with too much force.

What it is happening is that you are mostly causing significative damage to your TA (micro-tears so to speak), without taking advantage of the viscoelastic properties of connective tissue. The consequence is that tissue is growing, but also becoming stronger and more elastic. Also ligs tends to retract, giving the illusion that your penis is shortening instead then lengthening.

Supposing the above is true, what you should do is to use low tension-long time techniques, so, for length an extender, for girth vacuum pumping at very low pressures and for a lot of time.

Just my 2 cents.

Marinera, you always have a good answer. Respect.

Thanks 8inch. :)

Pumping did nothing for me.
Extenders/ADS gave me negative P.I.s.

No, I haven’t stuck with the same routine. I’ve jumped around. I’ve always increased intensity at a slow but steady pace.

Everything yields the same result. I gain, then lose it. Then I spend the next few months getting the gain back only to lose it.

Don’t you think the answer to the riddle can be a very simple one: Some people just can’t gain?

Your problem is that you are not gaining or that you lose what you previously gained?

I must say this one puzzles me. You say that you gain but then you lose it, so technically you can not be a no gainer as you have gained, is just that you cant keep your gains which isn’t the same am I right?

Anyways I think we need some more experienced members to give some thoughts to this as I don’t think I recall anything similar.

Was (july 07): 5.25 nbp (5.9 bp)X 4.5

July 10 :6.15 nbp (6.65 bp)X 4.8

Goal: 6.75 nbp (7.1 bp) x 5.1 Final goal : 7.25 nbp x 5.3

Okay, here it as clearly as I can be.

I started PEing officially in January of 2009. I did the newbie routine. I stretched for 10 minutes and jelqed for 10 minutes. After about a month of this, I noticed that I had gained roughly 1/8” in BPEL and 1/4” in girth. Were these gains just EQ boosts? Who knows. But I know they were there. I’m obsessively anal in the way I measure, so my measurements are always 100% accurate.

So, given the success I had, I continued doing what I had been doing. 2 weeks later, I went in for my next measurement. The gains that I had experienced were gone. I was back to my original size. This is where I remained for 2 months. I never regained it. At this point I quit PE because I was pissed off.

I started back up in June. I went back to the newbie routine. I quickly gained about 1/8” in both BPEL and EG. I held these gains for about a month, then they disappeared.

I figured I needed some sort of intensity burst. I bought a pump. I pumped consistently for 2 months. It gave me nothing. Then I switched to an ADS type thing that I made myself. After 3 weeks of using it, I gained about 1/8” in BPEL. Then the negative P.I.s set it, I lost the gains, and set fire to the ADS.

I quit PE again because I got pissed, again.

I restarted back in December. I did a light routine but ramped it up like the Linear routine suggests. I had it ramped up to 20 minutes of stretching and 15-20 minutes of jelqing. 2 weeks ago, I measured a 1/8” increase in BPEL. The next week I measured another 1/16” in BPEL. I continued what I was doing.

Then, last night, I measured on my 2 week mark. I had lost all of the BPEL gains that I had made 2 weeks before.

SO…after all that, I am back to where I started one year ago.

Maybe you need a constant increase.
Like increasing every week.

10% every week.
I am very surprised though that you say you have been pumping for two months and made very little gains when it has been known that pumpers make very sustainable and substantial gains in one month.

What pressure were you using and for how long?

Current Stats: 6.9BPEL/6.4NBPEL 5.5MEG.

Current Goal: 7BPEL/6.5NBPEL 5.75MEG.

There’s your problem, you shouldn’t have been wearing the ADS at the time…

Seriously, gaining and losing can happen but I’ve never heard of a case quite like yours. I think you may have quit a little early on your previous attempts. This time, whenever you see a gain I want you to try and change something about your routine. Nothing major mind you, the basics seems to work for you (albeit momentarily), so change an exercise here and there from time to time. For instance, if you’re doing the newbie routine then substitute one stretch with a simple fulcrum for a while (I personally like the A-stretch, Blue Whale’s Mandingo stretch is also pretty good). If you’ve been doing regular jelqing, substitute Cheeva jelqs for a few weeks. I’d also like to see you take mini de-conditioning breaks. 3 days off from all PE every 3-5 weeks.

This is a long-term commitment. Don’t be discouraged by temporary setbacks. At worst, if you end up not gaining anything, at least you will have spent time playing with yourself and there are far worse things to spend one’s time on.

2010-01-09: BPEL: 19,7cm [7.75"] EG: 15,0 cm [5.9"]

2010-04-24: BPEL: 20,4cm [8.0"] EG: [???]

I ONLY had negative PI’s during my 2 years of PE which netted me a solid inch in length… work that out.
