Ball zinger - new great (but difficult) idea for boosting voltage

Wonder how McMaster feels about all these people around the country opening an account and ordering one zinc rod…?

Also - I’m thinking 0.8 is too much for me! Doesn’t it sting?Perhaps if we used less salt in the water it would reduce the voltage to 0.5 or so. Have I got that backwards? I’mno Bill Nye.

Thanks 4 bumping

Thanks 4 bumping

I hate it when we have 2 or 2 three threads about the same topic goin on simultaneously….lol

Rubber bands are not a good idea for this—they corrode and break. :)

I need to get some of the hose reccomended—does anyplace online sell it? (Only Home Depot near me)

UberGoober,

The tubing that Tom used is surgical tubing and would also be available at a medical supply store.

I used cheapo exercise tubing that I got at Target. The price actually came out less than the hardware store price and the tube was black instead of medical tan. Looked a little more cool.

Moth

Target? Sweet…now one more question…what part of Target? In the exercise section? (Those Super-Targets are too damned big!)

Thanks!

No problem.

Yeah, the exercise section. Look for those pre-packaged cable sets. I suggest you bring a piece of the zinc or copper with you so you can eyeball the tube diameter for a good fit.

Haven’t read through all the posts so excuse me if I am repeating something. How about shrink tubing which shrinks to form fit when heated. May not be rigid enough. Damn now I think about that after I bought tonight, but will try anyway. Also, what about the bolts they sell at Lowes or Home Depot. Many are zinc plated and some of the hex head ones are smooth towards the head and can be cut to the proper sizes. Both can be gotten at Lowes. Just my two cents. Not sure if either will work….Also maybe you can get a zinc electrode or piece at an electronics or hardware store since zinc is common to batteries. Sorry to keep editing, but here is something I cut and pasted from another site on battery making……Zinc can easily be obtained from a chemical supplier (). But you might try a galvanized nail (what is “galvanized”?) Try to get the really bright silvery ones; they’ll have more zinc on them, I think. (CAUTION: I’ve only tried this sort of thing with pure zinc strips and don’t know how well a galvanized nail will work.) ….I removed supplier links … not sure on protocol on supplying links since McMaster seems to be a good one already.

skeets,

Either I’m missing something or you have your threads confused. Bolts and rigidity would refer to the tugger for foreskin restoration, maybe?

The zinger (my aren’t these names quaint) has no bolts, in fact, the thought alone is kind of painful.

Later,

Moth

No regular bolts …zinc coated to be cut and used as the zinc rod …a bolt is basically a rod and hex bolts have smooth sections…. thought it would be simpler than mail order from McMaster and cheaper too at 10 to 35 cents for a bolt depending on the size you use….they are coated in zinc to reduce corrosion… and the rigidity of the shrink tubing may be too flimsy to support the Blakoe ring

Skeets,

Sorry, just reread your post and I was missing something.

You were talking about using the zinc from the bolts as the zinc portion of the zinger (you realize I’m saying this for my benefit not yours). The potential problem with this is most zinc has substantial quantities of lead in it. Not something I want next to my skin. You need zinc with only trace quantities of lead and the McMaster stuff fits the bill.

Tell me more about the shrink tubing. I’m unfamiliar with it.

I’ll try to be less stupid in the future,

Moth

Thanks for lead info…..That could be important… I’m already brain damaged enough…Shrink tubing is used for electronics among other things It shinks when held over a heat source to form fit…..you can use it to make rubber handles on tools to keep a rope end from fraying or to slide over a wire and then shrink down to provide secure insulation to a bare area of wire…..Neat stuff but not sure if appropriate for Blakoe…actually seems somewhat rigid and you would be able to get a tight secure fit on copper and zinc…… although with my luck it probably contains some material that would send me into toxic shock……cool toxic shock gotta try that…. will call company and ask them if I can put it next to my willie….not

If you posted at 7:59 and I posted at 7:59, how come yours was first? And don’t hand me that seconds crap, I don’t want to hear it.

Thanks for the info on the shrink tubing. I’ll go look at some. I’m sure if it won’t work in the loop it will come in handy with some project or other.

The original Blakoe is a rigid plastic tube. I liked the idea of flexible tubing myself. I usually am not aware that I’m wearing it until my attention is drawn to it by someone staring at my bulge…shucks.

BTW I really enjoyed your last post in the Health section.

Thanks Moth, I would probably want to back off some of my positives on soy. I only use it mainly for the thyroid effect to help lose about 10 more pounds…..In my more delusional states(only about 22.5 hours a day…I sleep the other hour and a half) I think soy protein is part of some giant conspiracy to emasculate society along with the banning of dodge ball…..its used as a substitute in more things than you think and a lot of people frown on its estrogenic effect….not good for bodybuilding or PE I would think……so join me in my fight against this insidious plot……oh wait I’m off topic………gotta go someones at the door…… oh its the nice men from the hospital again….good I could use some rest and the great vitamins they give me……even though they make me sleepy…………………………………….. ……….sorry I think its time to go to bed now……..oh yeah and my getting posted ahead you is due to my blazing fast cable connection with the money back guarantee of primary post priority…its the 21st century so get with it primary posting is the new hot thing

You think you’re off-topic, but that is a legitimate issue…Soy protein could quite possibly slow down PE gains.

tom the cop sez stay on task here - name that gizmo

Moth, I think you’ll be disappointed in the shrink tubing due to its lack of elasticity, but it’s gotta be cool stuff - certainly has gotten me thinking more than once…

…btw, you are starting to threaten my alpha male Mr Gizmo status with your clever innovations. (ThunderSS: can we have a smiley of a gorilla baring its teeth?) Black tubing - definitely a fashion statement. Gee, I need to go near Target today, I just know I do.

I’m having trouble with the plastic easter eggs, but I think that’s another thread…………….I’m Skeetsing, sorry…….

Regarding the name, hell, I make up these stupid little names and I don’t like them any more than anyone else - how about someone coming up with a decent ball zinger name?
