Clamping has a reputation for being potentially dangerous and is considered a rather advanced exercise. My question is, what kinds of injuries have people actually experienced as a result of it? I have no doubts that it does have great potential for injury — I’m not doubting this reputation. What I am looking for is ideas on what people can do to minimize the occurrence of injuries. I’m hoping that info about what exact injuries people have had might give people the opportunity to be extra conscious of/careful about certain things while clamping.

Have you looked at the list of “Similar Threads” found by the forum software (below)? One is titled “Clamping Injuries.” The others may also be of benefit.

I have had blood from the tip of my penis. Not gushing, it was like blood mixed with precum.

If you want to minimize injury, just don’t put the clamp on so damn tight.

Yeah! start slow, and listen to your dick. The force of a clamp is intense, so don’t leave it on to long for the first couple of weeks and then start building yourself up. I believe injuries start when first starting to clamp because of being impatient. Condition yourself first to avoid injury right away. Key word, SLOW.

From what Ive read thrombosed veins are the most common injury. But they are hard to avoid even if you take it slow. I have one but clamp anyway. Since it doesnt hurt and hasnt given me any problems I just continue to clamp regularly.

I suggest looking in the injury forum before starting clamping or any thing new to see the common injuries.

I haven’t gotten a injury yet from clamping and pray I don’t but what I did get a injury from was Horse440’s (too eager to make gains and tried a advanced excersize I couldn’t handle yet) when I was pretty new too PE almost two years ago. The injury seemed to be a thrombosed vein on the ventral side (bottom) of my dick and it made a tiny hard spot on the vein on the bottom near my CS. It still has not completely went away and seems want to stay but clamping doesn’t really seem to make it any worse so that’s good. I also have two other visible veins espeically on the right side of my dick and they seem to handle clamping fine thankfully. If those were to thrombose I would be pissed so I’m trying to keep a extra special eye that they don’t. Also for any newbs or anyone who dosen’t know about EVO (Eroset’s Vein Oil) try doing a search here for that thread which is related to people who suffer a clamping injury like thrombosed veins, it has helped many people here before heal quicker from that injury.

So veins get conditioned to not thrombose as easily? If this is correct, can anyone tell what exactly the changes in them are that make them not thrombose as easily. I’m scared to death of getting a thrombosed vein. If I got one I’d be scared to ever clamp again.

Try low pressure clamping or jelquing for about 2 weeks, then slowly increase the time and pressure. I think after about a month of slowly increasing time and force you can begin to do some of the recommended beginner routines.

You want to give your blood vessel walls time to toughen up to handle the vastly higher pressures.

The biggest risk with regular clamping is blowing out blood vessels. If you add bends and squeezes…you amplify the risks and can also tear connective tissue.
