Cool down or "warm" down?

I’ve been reading contradicting information on a good newbie routine. One that I read advised that you warm up for 5minutes and then warm down for 5 minutes. Other information i’ve read says that cool down cements the gains during the work out. Which one would be best to use?

Seems to be a bit of a controversy from what I have seen. Most experienced members would probably say to cool down while your penis is in an extended state to “cement” gains. I have also heard that warming down afterwards helps keep bruising/discoloration at bay. If your torn between the two you could use one method one day and the opposite method the next. Perhaps you would get the benefits of each method some of the time. Unless someone with more experience chimes in with an authoritative answer thats what I would do.

Ice packs

There has been a lot of talk lately about the use of ice packs to cement gains. Always heat before and during PE sessions, I think we all agree here. It not only makes a great deal of sense, but also just feels right, to minimize injury and soreness. But some now think by applying ice directly to the shaft after aggressive hanging and or jelq/pumping etc one might encourage quicker healing to the micro-tears thus a short recovery period, letting us get back to our controlled damage sessions sooner. No one is really sure yet, the idea is too new. It looks good in theory, but no one wants to be the first guinea pigs to try anything untested. Where I live there is a hot tub and a very cold swimming pool right next to each other. I work nights so when I’m off I am always up in the wee hours and have the facility to myself. I usually do most of my power jelqs and stretching in the 106 temp hot tub, sometimes even pump under the hot water. I’ve been considering taking the cold plunge afterwards, but have just been waiting for a little more feed back from the vets here. Like Tube says maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in on this. To me the idea has that same gut (Just feels right) element to it to be worth a try. So when you do, let us know how you come out

Cooling down also simply refers to letting your unit cool down to body temperature naturally (without ice or cold water). This technique is recommended by Bib so would seem to be on fairly firm ground. It is the use of actual cooling devices that is untested and possibly dangerous.

Yes, I agree, was only kidding about letting us know how you come out. Applying ice to a hard worked dick might very well be dangerous. So we’ll wait and let Tube be the first.
