Decon Break. Not Liking It. Losing Girth.

Day 2 Of 2 Months Decon. Not Liking It.

This is day 2 of my first ever decon break. I don’t like the idea of not working my dick out. Especially on days where I have plenty of free time. But after working hard and as consistent as possible the last year, and no gains, I don’t think I have a choice.

So I’m just heating and some edging with lots of kegels. Lots and lots of vets say decons are needed. I’ve been at it for over 3 years, so stopping is hard for me. But, I have a feeling, they are right. If I want to continue to gain, I have to take a break and start over. My dick is mighty tough right now. It’s just hard for me to imagine, doing nothing is actually helping.

Strangely, some people grow during their decon breaks. My PE was punctuated by regular breaks (mostly due to injury) and I think it was useful.

After 3 years of beating on the guy don’t you think he needs a break? If you don’t give him a break there is a good chance he may run off and live with another family!!!!

Decons are hell.
I was forced to 3 decons this year because I have a skin injury.

But in the first week after a decon I always saw the best gains.
I hope you will experience the same!

I was just writing this about decons in a guide for another member.

1.) Deconditioning Breaks
Simply put, these are more important than you think. I see comments on TP when guys are beginning decons bemoaning the loss of ‘future’ gains during the decon. That is the wrong idea. We are placing stress on tissue and tissue needs a break from time to time. I take a few weeks off after 4-5 weeks of active hanging. A decon is not doing nothing. It is active rest.


Retired: NO PMs; BPEL: 5.5" --> 7.9" ; BPFSL: ~5.6" --> 8.5"

Thanks for the encouragement! I think I’ll be alright, it’s definitely not easy and on top of it all, today was the coldest year, so my flaccid hang was poor. And it’s only gonna get colder. I haven’t turtled in a long time.

But, I guess this is the price to pay for more gains.

LOL, jimmybob! Yeah, he probably does deserve a break, I just don’t like turtling!

My last practice was in February. I want to go back in mid-November. It’s already 9 months of deconditioning. I hope to gain again like in the beginning.


Initial: APR/19 BPEL16(6,3)x13,5(5,3)

Current: NOV/21 BPEL18,3(7,2)x13,5(5,3)

Nine months is a long time! I’m really hoping two does the trick for me.

My Own Experiences

I am not a very active PE enthusiast, and I go through many cycles of practicing and not. I remember that back in 2019, I was very big into hanging. I hanged multiple times per week for around six months or so. I saw a hardly any gains at all during this entire time. However, I took a break around the holiday season (November to December), and one day I decided to measure myself because I had felt larger. Much to my surprise, I had grown to around 6.5 inches.

I will be the first to admit, I am a lazy creature-of-habit. So, even though I had dedicated myself to a routine before and even though I had real results, I ended up taking a much longer break than I had expected. I started back up (very half-heartedly I must admit) around March of 2020, however, I did not really pursue it all that much. Then, in the Fall of 2020, I began college and did not have the time to maintain any routine at all. So, that entire time, I did not have any training.

But, in the Spring of 2021, I started back up, and I quickly grew to 6.75 inches, and I took another break. Following this break, I grew to around 7 inches. Then, I began exercising earlier this Fall, took another break, and I am now sitting around 7.5 inches. Pretty much all of my gains have taken place during a few month long break. Have some faith, and hopefully you’ll be rewarded with some gains.

TL;DR: My training cycle is very arrhythmic, with long periods of training and long periods of breaks. Despite this inconsistency, I have made some nice gains (in my opinion).

Well technically tissue doesn’t grow when working out, and it’s a rule regarding most parts of the body. The grow you get during working out is the blood flow + inflammation combo (which can be prolonged), which is not “real” growth alteast from bodybuilding perspective. You grow when you rest.

Thanks for letting me know, that you personally, more than once gained while on a break! That’s very encouraging to me. I will be shocked if that happens to me. I’m really hoping it does, but I’m not going to expect it. Thanks again!
