Hey. I’ve experienced some length gain, but little to no mid shaft girth gain, as of yet (about 6 months in). I haven’t been as consistent as I’d like, but I really want to see some girth gain (to give me motivation). So, although everyone says to focus on length first, I want to do exclusively girth work until I see just a little gain (1/8 inch). After that, I’ll know that girth gain is possible, and I’ll focus on length again. This couldn’t possibly be a huge hindrance to potential length gains, could it? I mean, just 1/8 inch gain? Thanks.

Congratulations on your gains!

Not everyone says to focus on length first. I’d suggest that you should focus on a good moderate basic routine, performed consistently. I would recommend that over any particular exercise.

Some exercises are said to encourage length over girth or vice versa, but it doesn’t always work out that way. It can be difficult to gain one without gaining the other, even if that is your intent.
