Good Hot Wrap Approach

Good Hot Wrap Approach

I’ve been toying with the idea of resuming active PE, employing the Big Gainer’s approach (7 days per week, extensive hot wraps, gradually ascending volume, moderate intensity, wet jelqs, followed by stretches of 2-3 minutes in duration, supplementation, etc.).

Anyway, I was thinking about hot wraps. I found a heating pad to be the best for holding a steady temperature, but the pad I used didn’t hold up very well to being wrapped around my unit. I think they were designed to be used flat. Wrapping up the coils/wires seemed to damage my heating pad; after a while, even the hottest setting was only lukewarm. So I don’t want to go that route again.

I was visiting an aunt the other day, who’s heavily into sewing/knitting, etc. I found a piece of wool, and asked her if I could have it. She said “Sure.” So, at night, I tried doing a hot wrap with the wool (100% genuine wool), and it worked great. It held the heat much longer than a regular wash cloth, and seemed to really soak deeply into my unit. Following the Big Gainer’s example, I sat on the edge of the bathtub, with my feet in the tub, and applied the wool hot wrap. When the temp of the wrap did drop, I just held it under the tub’s faucet and reheated it. My unit was really red and flexible, like a noodle, and the heat felt really deep.

Give it a try.

A couple of heating pad tips learned by trial and error and a few burned out pads.

Don’t overlap the pad when wrapping. Just completely wrap your cock and let the extra pad just hang free.

For long pad life, don’t use the high setting. Use one click back from high and you will double or triple the life of the pad.

Now, where is that wool scarf of mine?

g,
I didn’t know about not wrapping the pad all the way around; wish I did :(
However, I never used the hottest setting as it was too hot. As the pad degraded, I was forced to turn it up; but after a while, even that was pointless.

Oh yeah, about the wool: use a thick piece. I don’t know how thick your scarf is but you don’t want to use a thin flimsey piece. The wool I used was very thick (maybe 1/4”).

I still think it gives a superior deep soak than the heating pad; albeit the pad is much less messy and no need to resoak. Nonetheless, the wool wrap really boiled my noodle - without burning it.

Wad,

I’m really starting to see heat as one of the most critical parts of successful growth. That and getting expansion, followed by not overdoing it.

Get it hot…make it big…give it a break….thats what I’m thinking.

Plus, I think if you can get it expanded then wrap it with like the therawrap, to keep it expanded for as long as possible WITHOUT further stress, and let it cool down in an expanded state…I think that will work great!

I think the benefit of extended jelquing is that you are keeping it expanded for a longer length of time, not the jelquing itself. So, if you can keep it expanded WITHOUT the jelquing, it makes sense to me that you get the best of both worlds.

Pumping should do the same thing, except you start getting fluid migration which is bad.

When I have done the above routine, I have put on 1/4 inch of girth in 2-3 weeks, I get over enthusiastic and do too much… and then I get shrinkage. I really have to watch that tendency!

Wool huh…interesting!

While I used to a rice sock, lately I’ve been using two hot water bottles and sandwiching my unit in between them. Works well.

If you’re sitting on the edge of the tub, you could fill a hot water bottle and then stick your unit into bottle itself. Gives you maximum surface exposure plus pretty long-term heat retention. The trick is getting water temp just right. For plastic deformation, the recommendations seem to be in the 104-115 degree range.

I’m still shopping for the right IR heating pad.

MX,
I can see where the water bottle would be useful, only you’re not soaking the entire area. It’s important to also get damp heat into the pubis regional (ligs).

Regarding IR heat, I’ve read that it really goes deep, but I’m not sure if that is superior to damp heat. Only extensive testing would reveal that. Also, those IR lamps & bulbs can be quite costly. What if, in the end, they’re no better than a common hot wrap?

But there’s no magic bullet to PE. Clamping, velcro wraps, fulcrum stretching, etc. They’re all just tools. I think the key is not so much what happens during your workouts, but between workouts. It’s not hard to pummel those tissues; the key, of course, is for them to come back larger.

Each time I PE I do a ten minute warm-up in a large plastic peanut butter container, obviously without the peanut butter. I fill it with warm water from the sink which I then microwave for 15 seconds. Return to the bathroom, sit on the side of the tub, feet in, and drop cock and balls into container, pressed into the pubic region for the entire 10 minutes. No reheating a washcloth or other type of wrap, no cords, no real mess. Cock is extremely pliable and ready for both stretches and jelqing. As Wad said, it is important to heat the pubic region and this works well for me. Be careful of the temperature of the water though when you are getting started.

I never bothered a lot with warm ups. Then I did a little experiment on my dick. I measured how much it stretched at different weights in an unheated and in a heated state. Here’s what I measured -

Heated and unheated comparison

I know everybody is advised to warm up. For those that ignore the advice, like I did in the beginning, I can guarantee heat will allow you to stretch your dick more!

It’s not quite what you were asking Sparky but I did try the following (taken from the “penile stress/strain relationship” thread.

I reported in post#30 the result of hanging 1.1kg for an hour while constantly applying heat. The result was that after an initial elongation of approx. 10mm there was no further measurable elongation over the course of the hour.

Today I repeated the experiment hanging 1.6kg and allowed my penis to cool down after an initial 10 min warm up. I even at the end made a measurement after applying an ice pack (see how dedicated I am to research!). I think the room temp. today is a bit warmer than in the post#30 experiment so I think that accounts for todays slightly lower elongations. Here's what I measured.

Temp Time L(mm)

Cool 9-30 9.0
Cool 9-38 9.0 Rice sock applied immediately after this reading
Warm9-43 9.8 Rice sock in place (removed briefly for taking length reading)
Warm9-48 9.8 Rice sock removed
C D 10-00 9.8
O O 10-15 9.5
O W 10-30 9.3
L N 10-45 9.4
…….11-00 9.2
…….11-15 9.3 Ice pack applied for 2min before reading

By applying the ice pack I made sure I had got back down well below my original starting temperature. From the results it seems that the initial application of heat has still had some effect on increasing the strain/elongation of the penis even after the temperature is returned to normal or below.

I want to leave the herd behind.

It is hard to ignore the therapeutic effects of heat on tissue and the sense of comfort it provides. A sore penis will greatly appreciate the warmth of a damp towel to alleviate the trauma of PE techniques. My programs never really incorporated heat as an agent for growth, in the beginning it was done as a matter of recommended procedure but was quickly discarded due to time restrictions. The groin area is probably the most thermo-regulated area of the body and hence keeps a state that is probably at a level warmer than any other external physiology.

The area that I have found to be of superior benefit over heat therapy is a period of physical activity before PE to stimulate blood flow and increased oxygenated blood cells. The arteries being the most flexible of the blood carrying vasculature and therefore the most susceptible to permanent widening, is a significant area to target in-order to increase the volumetric capacity of the penis and it’s ultimate size. The arteriole structure of the penis is very strong and capable of incredible stress and under stress will expand and under consistent expansion will widen; I believe this expansion to correlate directly with girth gains during PE.

By spending 15mins on a treadmill the heart-rate will rise to a level that gets new oxygenated blood flowing through your system and will contribute to better quality exercises and promotion of increased arteriole size.
