Infrared Lamp

I was wondering if there were any local stores where I could purchase an infrared lamp, instead of over the Internet. I recently had my credit card stolen and I promised to never purchase over then Internet again. Does W-Mart, H-Depot, etc. Have these in stock?

Yea, you should try a search on the forums. I think I remember reading it in the “Pumpers Forum”. They sell the ballast and light relatively cheap at Wal-Mart around my way (NJ). You should have no trouble locating one.

No prob..quick update. I went to Wal-Mart today, and found a 250 Watt Ceramic Ballast with reflector. They call it a “10 inch Farm Utility Light”. I really liked this one because it has a clamp on the end. It can easily be attached to the end of a table, or desk (for those of you who like to PE @ the computer). It cost $7.97. The 250-Watt bulb was selling for $8.47. Everything you need for under $20!!!

YES.. I love you, and if my parents ask why I want it I can say I need a desk lamp. This is a deal and so easy to get, you are the man!

I searched Walmarts website and can’t seem to find this farm utility light can you possibly send me a link or direct me where to find this, thanks a bunch!

Your probably not going to find it on their website. Goto the store, and look in the aisle that sells all the lightsbulbs/light switches. I found a good IR lamp at Pet Smart for reptiles. It’s a bit smaller than the big bulbs which I like.
