Reading various posts here, I see many members spend hours each day hanging. Results, in the main, seem to be quite positive and hanging seems a great way to go, the only problem for me (and I’m sure I’m not alone here) is time and privacy (I feel any hanging efforts I attempted in my office just may elicit quizzical looks from my staff!). So therefore I concentrate on manual stretches a lot and I guess the contention is whether the two - hanging and manual stretching - are really one and the same with the only difference being in duration (?). The extrapolation of this is that results will therefore come a lot quicker with hanging. I guess the consistency of each hang is a plus as well.

Anyway, just pondering. Like to hear others thoughts.

I hear what you are saying and agree with it, do what you have to to get by. If I stretched as much as I hung, I would have no arms now. :) Sorry to hear you have no privacy.

Mr 9…yes you’re right about the arms. New acronym…TBC…Tensed Bicep Circumfrence…thanks to PE this has increased greatly!

That’s a great question, and one I have wondered about a lot. Consider that the makers of PeniMaster claim that stretching adds length as long as you are committed. According to them, stretching is the way to go. I use it exclusively and after one month have 1/8” gain. I’ll let you know in a few more months. Well it’s not scientific exactly, but it’s as close as I could get.

1/8 gain in one month. I dont mean to dicourage but that is not a great gain..sure it is a gain though.

Yeah I know I have great gains, it is so much easier when you are a quick gainer

My length routine:

7 x 3 minutes of streching, all ways including downward right and left
6 x 1 minutes of inverted v stretch

I do this routine daily but once in a while I skip a routine because lack of time, for instance before a important test in school.

I am a hanger never really spent a whole lot of time on manual stretching alone. I would imagine that you can get the same amount of force with manual stretching just weights are more easy on the hands and arms.

So far though hanging for 6 months straight went from

4.75x 7 to 5 x 8. That fucking inch is great to.

Do you remember what your LOT was & how do you feel that effected your gains if at all?
