Meeting with other Thunder's Place members in Real Life

Am I allowed to even entertain the thought of meeting other gay members for more than dinner and a drink? Or are such thoughts forbidden here? I certainly don’t want to cross any invisible lines or offend anyone.

Well, tom, I can’t imagine any way in the world that anyone here would be able to stop you and Mr. X from meeting with more-than-dinner intentions. If someone has a complaint about you and Mr. X talking about it where others can read, move it to PM chat. No one will know, and no one can bitch about it. Besides, it could lead to some interesting(for me at least)juicy stories.

But then, the kinda juicy stories I like would require kissing and telling—a thing that I wouldn’t expect you or anyone else on here to be excited about.

I’m afraid I’d be a bore to anyone I met. I’m just a loser like that. I get shy or something—social anxiety, I’m told. It’s terrible. I want to talk, but for some reason I can’t. Either that, I stuttor. If not that, I get nervous and I can’t shut up, but the things I say are stupid and makes me look like a fucking idiot. It takes a good while for me to get “normal” around new people.

My biggest worry about meeting anyone from here wouldn’t be whether or not I’d get myself in a “show me your cock and I’ll show you mine” kind of situation. I’d just say now and that situation would come to an end. My fear is that I’d be too boring, or because I’m being too quiet the person(s) I met would think that I didn’t like him/them. Bummer.

I meant, can I actually post a general request to meet a Thunder’s member outside the IM/PM realm? The subject of meeting other members in the flesh, so to speak, has already been broached here in this thread.

I’ve already been carefully warned not to be forward at all just in case some member becomes uptight about the mere suggestion.

As it stands, I’m paralysed now about how to address this subject. Maybe I should just drop it. I’ve been finding over the past few months that the Internet appears to be the wrong place for me to meet people except only as cyber friends.

It’s late and I’m tired. If this post sounds crazy that’s why.

Expect that if I were gay or bi I would do more than entertain the idea, lol. If I were gay I would be a size queen and be relentlessly pming P9.

I have gotten the occasional pm from someone checking the waters for a potential hook up. When I picked my Thunder’s name I was clueless that some might take it to mean “I am (gay) ar u?” Thought I was sooo clever with my “Iam (getting a bigger dick) aru?” Signature line. No big deal.

I would say that this thread has let you do just that…without being the one that brought it up. :)

This group is great. On average, far more interesting than the people you generally meet in person.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t have a lot of them over to my apartment. I wouldn’t want my girlfriend staring at, say, Dino’s gigantic man snake.

Even in a public place, not let Dino get anywhere near your g/f. If you are not sure if it is Dino or not, like in a cafe or something, watch for the guy who has trouble maneuvering toward your table because his crotch bumps into chair backs. You see him coming, you say, “Time to go, Sweetie.”

I will be in LA in early summer and would like to get together with any of you guys for dinner or a drink. However, the drink will NOT include a Ball Snot Slurpy. Just setting the record straight.

KOG: I get the same thing - the lockup thing. You either can’t think of anything particularly entertaining to say, or you yammer on about just plain boring useless crap, that seems to come out all wrong to boot.

All my real life friends think I’m funny…. maybe they’re just being nice.

I said I would but haven’t yet. That should be changing in a couple of weeks. I’m supposed to hang out with some of the MOS guys (Supra, DLD, shojii) here in Boston, so we’ll see how that goes. If we get into a “show me” situation (I doubt it) I will be very embarassed haha.

Get DLD to talk about music. That will take up so much time there won’t be any left for dick talk much less dick showing. He has a fantastic collection of dance tunes and is very knowledgeable.
