New measurements on the 1st - torn between length and girth!

I’m trying to decide where to focus my attention… length or girth. Today was the 1st of the month so I have new mesurements. They are quite different than I anticipated, which makes me want to perhaps alter my routine slightly. Here are my stats, the first set being my starting ones and the next 3 sets being on the 1st of each month after that (3 months of PE).
6.375 (BPEL) / 4.5 (EG)
6.5/4.625
6.625/4.625
6.625/4.75

That’s where I stand now. I’ve gotten gains every month since starting which is nice. However, I thought it was strange that in month 2 I got ONLY length and then last month ONLY girth when gains came in both departments the first month. What I find to be odd is that this past month I added hanging to my routine. Nothing major, just 3 sets, 20 minutes each of about 6 pounds (started at 5, 6 by the end of the month). I did this about 12-15 times total for the month, so 3-4 times a week. I thought for sure when I measured today that I would have gained a tad in the length department with the addition of hanging to my routine and no girth, yet it was the exact opposite! My short term goals are 7x5 which is very attainable IMO. My question is should I be concerned about girth gains hindering my length gains? I’ve read A LOT of threads and information about larger girths being a limiting factor to length gains. Should I lay off the horses and full erect jelques and do a length only routine? Should I not worry at all and just think from the perspective that gains are gains and be happy with the results thus far? Any advice would be great fellas.

I’ve been at it 3 months also. IMO, take any gains you can get to keep up your spirits. The girth type exercises are good for overall penile health anyway, and the extra circulation is better for all gains. There are plenty of guys on this forum with thick dicks that still gain length. Hopefully one day we will be 2 more of them. Good luck

I guess I’ll just stick with things the way they are now. Basically now I’m doing the hanging I spoke about above about 3 days a week along with a good 30-40 minute jelq/horse workout 3 times a week and 20-30 minutes of manual stretching 3-5 times a week. I split the jelquing between 50% and 100% EL and stetch in all directions but am looking to go more SU because of a LOT around 7 or 8. I’m really gunning for the 7” mark and think I can get it by the end of January if I keep at it.

I guess I was just a little disappointed this month because I felt I was focusing mostly on length (with the addition of hanging) and was really hoping for 6.75” or even slightly more. I mean I’m happy with the girth increase, but it wasn’t what I was after. I was going to go for 7 BPEL first then start hitting the girth much more serious. Oh well, mixed routine continues I suppose :)

I hear you man, I’ve gained maybe a 1/4 inch in 3 months…I’m looking for length too. My LOT is about the same as yours also, about 7:30. Bib would probably tell you to hang BTC until your lot is under 7:00. You might have some lig gains left, maybe 1/4 inch or so. I stretch manually and am concentrating on my tunica this month since I didn’t get anywhere with the ligs. I should probably keep at it SD but I’m getting frustrated. In addition, I think my septum is limiting my lig stretches so after I hopefully loosen it up this month, I might switch back to ligs. Let me know how it goes and I’ll do the same.

Nicely done. The vets usually say to work on length first, the theory being that added girth makes gaining length more difficult. Since I am wide, and length has been a bitch, I would tend to agree. In your case, however, I would not change a thing in your program except the way you hang. It is working, don’t mess with it. Unless you hear otherwise, I would suggest you follow Sofl’s advice and hang BTC until gains from that stop. I would exhaust all possible gains in the ligs first.

Thanks guys. See that’s the thing though, PirateSteve. Say I hung for 15 times last month, 1 hour each total. I saw zero length gains! I have only hung strait down or slightly BTC (not hardcore BTC) and no upward angles. To me, that means I’ve hung only targeting the ligs and that I would have seen something - even 1/8” increase in length. I guess I’ll go more BTC and see what happens in December.

Sometimes when I have started new PE programs it has taken as much as a few months before gains start accumulating. Hell, I have been hanging more than 14 hours a week for about the last month with nothing to show for it yet. Am I worried, no. Will I change my program yet, no. PE is a patient man’s game, not well suited for those with a short attention span.

I will not even think something is successful or unsuccessful until I have at least 3 months with it under my belt. Others may disagree, but I think especially with hanging there are so many variables that one can not conclude that any one type of hanging is unsuccessful in their first few months. Hell, your dick has to get used to it, your skin has to stretch first, and you have to work up to fatigue weight and time before real gains start accumulating no matter what position you hang in. I stick by my suggestion of BTC, as I have read BIB posts saying exhaust BTC first to many others who have similar LOTs to yours (and mine).
