LM-

I don’t know how many PE practitioners plot their gains, but IMO, one should not consider oneself a serious PE Practitioner until one is plotting one’s gains vs. time.

For the most part PE is about flopping around trying to get to our big dick but we don’t know in which direction our big dick lies, so we end up flopping about in all directions. One’s gains curve gives one some idea of which direction to focus one’s flopping in order to get to one’s big dick sooner. :)

xeno, I consider anyone can still be a serious PE’er without plotting a graph of their progress in PE, I just see the graph plotting as another tool we can use to help us work smarter and plan our method of attack to get gains in PE better. The more information we have in PE and about our own situation in PE of course the better. :)

Yes, but by my definition of serious ONLY: serious = considers all available tools.

IMO, the shape of the curve of one’s physiological response (gains) to one’s flopping (training) is a very important tool and therefore use of such would constitue a requirement for the adjective “serious” to be placed in front of PE Practioner.

C’mon guys, get some focus to your flopping…

What is your definition of serious? See mine above.

Plot the RESULTS of your flopping, Chief!

And yet there are probably many tools you do not use or know about and therefore could not legitimately call yourself serious either.

I admit that I can’t consider things that I don’t know about.

Geez, I walked right into that didn’t I! As long as there are no hard deadlines, I’m sure I can come up with something.

Seems kinda snooty to me, xeno. :)

Well it takes a friend to tell you so. Thanks for that, Nine.

Is it the message or the delivery or both?

Good idea about the PE graphing article. The more help for others in PE (at least around here at Thunder’s) the better. :)
