Yep, my current training now has a girth work portion (about 70:30 emphasis, length:girth). My first post-newbie gains phase (PNGP) was comprised almost entirely of big work load hanging…I wanted to find my “maximum” gains rate. I’m just trying to stay on the same trajectory in EV and/or %change EV. If I’m staying pretty close to that trend established in my “calibration” (i.e. heavy hanging first PNGP) phase during subsequent lighter work load training programs then I figure I’m riding right under my biological break, IOW, at near my maximum gains rate.

Yep, volume plots are actually where most of the non-computational, visual data lies. The relative concordance or deviation of one’s actual EV gains data from the projection of one’s “maximum” EV gains curve would thereby define a relatively effective training program and one that under-achieves (there is no over-achieving…that is biological brake defined and identified in initial calibration phase). Both the EV and %change EV curves are great as indicators of the relative efficiency of one’s gains rate at any point in their PE career. The cool thing is the predictive power of these plots is increased over time, because it is continually re-calibrated (to one’s own body!) with each new data entry.

Thanks hobby. I think it’s pretty spooky…the shapes of our curves (big fella :) ) are very similar.

What do you think of this biological brake business and using plots as training design tools?

Interesting that is seems to show girth *or* length gains, but only both during a burst. Did you take time off before these bursts (Mar-Apr, Aug-Spet) or did they perhaps appear between infrequent measuring?

I like the idea of using an EV plot to determine whether one should be doing girth or length, letting your unit determine the routine. A much more ‘active’ system than doing it by rote.

No time off in there. Dates are at the bottom, roughly monthly. I measured more often than those “official” measuring days, so I’m confident measuring error was minimized.

Mar-Apr gain: I was hanging. In my notes I wrote that I thought girth came from very mild jelqing/squeezing routine in combination with hanging done toward the end of March.

Aug-Sept gain: Same thing, hanging, plus some very mild girth stuff. June though mid-July I had done an intense squeezing routine for girth. Then I switched over to hanging and cut way back on squeezes. The girth gain happened in early August.

Interesting theories here. If time is in fact the determining factor, then am I barking up the wrong tree by going for maximum girth expansion in my workouts? Will I simply be unnecessarily toughening my tunica?


Decemeber 2007: 5.8" BPEL x 4.9" MSEG

Current:-------->7.7" BPEL x 5.7" MSEG (7.2" NBPEL)

Current Goal:--->7.6" BPEL X 5.8" MSEG Do or do not, there is no "try".

I’ve gained a good amount of girth these past 3-5 months and I have been doing 3 PE sessions per day. I just stick to 15 minutes of pumping and around 20 minutes of clamping while edging, making sure to get good expansion. My girth has exploded. After pumping and clamping my dick has been looking like that photo shopped dick in that recent thread with the beer can, minus all the veins though.


Before: 7” bpel * 4.9” meg

Current stats: 8” bpel * 5.2” meg

5.5” beg; 4.5” geg
