Taking a couple of weeks off?

Taking a couple of weeks off?

I think I might have to do this. After my 3rd or 4th attempt at the Newbie Routine I still can’t seem to get it right. I worked out earlier today and once again had no positive PIs after my workout. I did 210 jelqs, erection level got around 70% towards the last 20 or so jelqs and about a minute after my workout I turtled up. I haven’t had a good flaccid hang after a workout in a while and while I’m jelqing my penis feels a little tough on the inside. I feel like maybe I should take a couple weeks off and try this again? Maybe only doing 100 jelqs a session for a little. But the only thing is I’m still getting erections throughout the day (same as always, not stronger, not weaker), so I’m not sure if I should keep going and up the jelqs by a little. The turtling and tough penis scare me a little because after all this is my penis and I don’t want it falling off. I’ve been going at this for about 7 weeks, and I really just need help with whether I continue while upping the jelqs and stretching (stretching is still at 5 minutes all directions, still 50 kegels). Or do I go ahead and take a little time off then come back lighter.

Alright, well I think I’m just going to take a couple weeks off and come back doing only 50 jelqs a session, 5 minutes of stretching, 50 kegels because it’s definitely better than getting injured! Thanks guys.

Taking some time off might help a bit. Or you could stop with the jelqing for a while and do stretches only, then after say 2 weeks start back jelqing. 50 as you stated, then the next week 55 and so on. Hopefully you should see something.

Obsession is a word used by the lazy to describe the dedicated.

Air, I’m no vet, but in my opinion a couple of weeks off could be a good thing! Try to rest a bit, relax, chill out, and then return to achieve your goals!!! I’m pretty sure you’re gonna make it dude, just start lightly and slowly increase the number of jelqs and stretches. Remember, start slowly!

You’re already big, and I’m sure you’ll achieve your goals in no time!

Big hug!

Good game plan! I would recommend that you go easy on the jelque grip too. Keep it pleasant as far as pressure. You should be able to get a nice hard erection when you are done, if you can’t then go even easier the next time.

I’ve been at this for years now, yet my current routine is 5 minutes of jelquing and 2 minutes of clamping…and I can only do two days on, and one day off or else I start to lose EQ!

There is a HUGE range of difference in the stress that different guys can take and make gains. Some can do a three hour routine…DAILY and make gains. Some like myself will be over training after 7 minutes.

Thats why you MUST see how you respond, and adjust it accordingly.

Hello Airmailpuppet,

If you are planning to take weeks off don`t. You will lose all your gains. Take at least 4 days off.
I believe that you should not worry over not having a good flaccid hang after a workout, I don`t have them either. It will take me like several hours for my penile tissues recover from the stress it has been subjected to.
Your approach to PE seem to be very good, you are taking everything very light and not really overdoing it.
I honestly believe that if you carry on PEing your penis will get adjusted with your new situation.

Anyways, since I am new here, the veterans` advice would be far better than mine.

Take care.

P.S: Are you using heat? Heat promotes healing.

I have decided whatever I do I will move forward in life

Yeah a few days rest should do you good.:)

I suggest you also stop focusing on how many jelqs you do.

Instead focus on how many minutes you spend jelqing.:)

Thanks for all the advice guys! So I’m taking this week and next week off. When I come back I’m going to do 5 minutes of stretching, 5 minutes of jelqing.

padawan- I don’t mind taking the couple of weeks off because I don’t really have gains to lose so I feel as though I’ll help myself more than hurt myself.

sparkyx- Thank you for the advice. I think a lot did have to do with grip because I started the routine with a very loose grip and would finish the routine hanging low and my penis would feel stretchy. Then I think I got more aggressive and that’s when I started to lose that feeling.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement everyone!

Airmailpuppet:

I think you’re on the right track with taking a break and starting out light when you resume. You can always increase your routine gradually after that. SparkyX’s thread on PIs is extremely valuable, and you should read that if you haven’t already: Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!.

In my experience, my PE has been best when my penis feels supple during and after my sessions. When it started feeling ‘tougher’ and less elastic, it was generally because I was overdoing. For me, it was a sign to reduce my routine for awhile or take a break completely. I’m better these days at detecting this early and adjusting my routine accordingly. Sometimes that just means taking an extra rest day, or a rest day when you hadn’t planned one.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.
