The importance of the FLACCID STATE as a guide in productive PE

Initially I believe so, but I had this theory, that we always hangs in the same area as a dorsal nerve, a quarter inch or so. And over the years I got tired of fiddling around with wraps, theraband and just decided ok, I am going to experiment with this, and was wondering why no body hangs by the base for long term. First was the skin stretch, then the ligs, and now lately I actually have been feeling the internals are getting pulled on. I don’t get all the negatives that I got when I hanged closer to the head. I do add half pounds if the weight doesn’t feel like much but my experience has been to maximize light weight as long as I can.

The periods that my flaccid state is HUGE and SOFT and almost UNABLE TO TURTLE (From correct training) are the periods that I am gaining LENGTH and GIRTH rapidly.

Great thread. Lots of interesting discussion throughout the whole thing.

I am with you on the above statement, but only for show-ers . I am a show-er and this is spot on for me! However, I have recently noticed a trend (from reading comments from others) that show-ers experience this, but growers see this in reverse, erect changes first then finally moving to flaccid.

I think most everything else posted in this thread is just a debate between individuals about what exercise and intensity gets you into “the sweet spot”, and what exercise and intensity takes you past “the sweet spot” (overtraining). I try to stay out of those debates.

Whatever gets you to right “conditions” for growth is what you should do, and if you are a show-er, when your flaccid is as Pe_is_an_art says, you are in the sweet spot.

That makes me look like a jerk. I am not staying out of the debate because I am above it. I just think it is too individualized for me to have any pertinent info. It is hard enough for me to keep me in “the sweet spot”!

I guess in general I could say, getting to the “sweet spot” you have more things that you can do and you can have higher intensity sessions. Once in the “sweet spot” it IS a balance. I have had to back off at times and ramp up at times. However, more backing off than ramping up.

The Glans hanger to me is far and away the best method for hanging.
