I was looking to try some light hanging after 6 months of PE. Having read hanging 101, it seems to me that taking days off is discouraged.

I was only planning to hang to add some variety to my routine when I come back to it.

I plan to hang using an old sock wrapped behind my glans and some light dumbbell weights I have sitting around in my bedroom.

However, if I have to commit to a 7 day per week routine, there is no point in starting.

I am a bit disappointed if I can’t do some basic hanging but hanging doesn’t seem to be all it’s cracked up to be which is disappointing.

There is no “have to” in PE. What works for you may not work for someone else and so on. If you want to hang 2, 3, or 7 days a week do it and see what happens. Common sense can be your friend.

Everyone’s body is different dude if you are hanging and are using the bib hanger bib recommends that you do 10+ hours a week of hang time so if your doing a set which is 20 minutes long then try to do a couple a day to meet that criteria in total you will have to do 30 sets a week as long as you meet that goal a week then you will most likely see results

BUT be warned for the love of god don’t take rest days what ever you do if you are injured and have to take a break then I guess its maybe okay but bib says don’t even take 1 rest day as your giving your penis tissues time to heal if you can’t do a couple of sets for a day at least try to do 1 to ensure you don’t loose any progress :)

You can hang as a variation to stretching or extending and not do 5 days on and two partial days… but, you just need to know that you have a maximum weight you can hang doing it this way.
Keep your max hanging weight under 7 pounds and you have minimal risk of toughening up your ligs.

Biggers advice is dead on for those doing hanging as their primary PE and most likely going to end up hanging heavier weights… at lighter weights you are fine.

I think 1 day of rest per week is optimal, and take a week off every few months. It is amazing the difference after each scheduled rest and everyone who does this schedule generally loves it.

At the end of the day it’s up to you, and everything depends on the duration and intensity of your workout. I’ve seen people say they did better with lower weight same duration after a week off and could do that for a long time. The break allows some basic healing process to begin and I think allows the ability to go to the next level.

As you progress up the mountain you take short breaks to rejuvenate and move ahead with renewed and increased EQ and generally larger overall measurements. I often find I measure the least the whole week before my day off.

Another question I’ve thought of, what is the real difference between hanging and stretching? With hanging, all you are doing is stretching it with a weight.

Is it just time duration? For instance I find I can’t hold a stretch much longer than a minute until my hand aches.

But the common wisdom with stretching doesn’t discourage rest days so why for hanging?

But anyway, I was figuring I would just hang for 2x5 minute sets as part of a 30 minute PE session. I’m not going to do anything dangerous as I read that after 20 mins tissue death occurs, so I am going to keep sets to 5 mins to be safe.

I’m trying to keep PE interesting for myself, that, along with wet jelqs, should spice things up a bit.

This is interesting. I just took 5 days off and today is my first day back. This after going 5 days on/2 off for the last 6 weeks. I was losing morning wood, although my EQ was not affected during intercourse. I have seen enough posts that say if you are not getting that typical morning woody then you should back off your routine a bit. I hang 7.5lbs for 2 or 3 sets of 20-25 minutes on my hanging days. I have been SHOCKED by how fast I have gotten results. I mean, shocked. I don’t even recognize my dick at this point. My wife, who has never questioned anything I do, is now making comments about “meeting my girlfriend”. I think she senses (and trust me, FEELS) something different. But what is she going to say? “Hey, I think your average size penis is now huge”? No.. When blowing me, she shakes it around, looks at it, smacks her face with it (its bouncier than it used to be on her cheeks) and looks at it again. I am doing everything in my power not to burst out laughing at the whole situation. I am NOT hiding it from her. I will tell her. I can’t wait to tell her because we will laugh our asses off at the entire situation. But anyway, back to the 5 day break.. So today I am back in my Capts Wrench hanging my 7.5lbs and I read that there may be very good reasons not to take a break. And they make sense. You do not want to give your tender, stretched out ligaments that space and time to completely heal up and scar. As that would make future gains somewhat harder. Okay, makes sense. But I think you will be okay. I think you should find a balance.

Right, just had a 5 minute hanging session with .5 of a kilogram. Felt good and can’t see why I would need to do it everyday though as it is just a long stretch without using you’re hands, surely. Gotta be the easiest form of PE there is, surely!

Hi guys, this is my current hanging setup. It is a 1/2 kilo weight with a sock through it tied behind my glans.

Also what’s the deal with tissue death occurring? I read in hanging 101 that tissue death occurs after 20 minutes but I’ve hung for 20 minutes in one go and my dick is fine.

Is that just if it is tied really tight around the glans or what?

Hello chaps, I’ve been hanging with .5 of a kilo for nearly a month. Once that month is up at the end of this week, I plan to start hanging with 1 kilo. Does a month sound like enough time before moving up?
