Effectiveness comparison between Bib and Vac Hanging?

123

You have to experiment but basically it has to be tighter towards the glans and you may find it very hard to adjust a hanger in such a way that it’s both well attached and places the tension closer to the glans.

So basically its impossible. Gotcha!

May the gains be with you.

Does a Vac Hanger isolate lig stretching more/better than a compression one? That’s what I feel all time no matter how I wrap. It pulls my whole pelvic area and it’s skin. Is this normal or just a wrapping problem?

I think it’s up to the angle of attach no matter how you attach the device - but I’m relatively new so take that with a grain of salt.

I’ve read that skin needs to stretch first, so it’s normal. Once that’s done then the rest can be stretched. But it could also be a wrapping issue if you don’t pull the skin the right way during setup. There are many good threads on wrapping, and I don’t really know how, so I’ll stop there.

Lig stretching is due to angle not type of hanger. You will need to stretch skin when you start any stretching method or manual, compression hanger or vac hanger. When you are skin stretching it will feel like a burning sensation and you will notice the skin getting pulled from the pelvic area like you say. Once you have stretched the skin a bit you should notice you are taking more strain on the internals, there is no burning sensation and the skin isn’t pulling from the pelvis. You should also be able to feel loose skin between the hanger and penis base too.

When the skin is stretched enough you need to make sure, when wrapping, that you gather the loose skin near the base of your penis otherwise you will always be skin stretching. This takes practice

Compression clamps vs. Vacuum hanger

Answering your question…..
IMO yes. However with a couple caveats, it depends on which vacuum hanging device you’re using. The vast majority of vacuum hangers are too shallow in depth, and because of their shallowness the traction emanates from the glans and not the shaft. Which will not produce an effective “lig” stretch. I’ve personally tested numerous vacuum hanging devices and for myself the optimal depth of the chamber should be 2 1/4”. This will ensure that the traction pull comes from the shaft and not the glans.

I’ve used a compression clamp and found it to be very uncomfortable no matter what type of wrapping technique I used. I know there are guys who’ve successfully used them to make gains, that’s not debatable, I believe it’s a very small percentage. I personally am not into pain and whenever I tried to use a compression clamp, I was gritting my teeth and watching the clock, just waiting for the second hand to reach the ten minute mark. I believe there’s a steep learning curve to get used to a compression clamp, and if there’s one thing I know about people, if it’s difficult and painful to use something, it won’t be used. Compression clamping cuts off blood flow to the section of penis being clamped along with any area below the clamp. This is precisely why they can only be worn for a short period. Asking a question…. what is a touniquet?
“A device for stopping the flow of blood through a vein or artery, typically by compressing a limb with a cord or tight bandage.”

You are correct about the sensation of pelvic skin being pulled on too. Which ultimately leads to excessive foreskin growth (Turkey neck). I’ve seen some compression clamp hangers that look like the frenulum area is a big wad a chewed bubble gum. I’ve even seen some with stretch marks lengthwise on their shaft.

A quality vacuum hanger by contrast more effectively generates “lig” stretch. The primary reason is because your penis isn’t experiencing the trauma of being clamped. Your pelvic floor muscle can stay relaxed. Additionally you’re stretching the full penile anatomy along with the suspensory ligament. You don’t have to be Mr. Spock to understand the logic. How can the section of your penis that’s being compressed in a clamp get a full stretch?

Additionally a quality vacuum based hanger can be worn for a much longer time duration. Which allows you to fully reach fatigue in one session and not multiple short ones. The comfort alone for me was a no brainer decision.

Thank you for this detailed answer.

I’m sure it’s mainly my wrapping technique cause being uncut and grower it’s very difficult to stay totally flaccid and wrap. But even when my wrapping feels really good, it pulls more than just ligs. With a vac hanger my shaft “divides” my balls and I feel my ligs being pulled down. With compression it feels like lots of potential lig stress gets distributed to pubic area. My shaft has enough skin. Don’t think that this is the problem.

Now to my original question: Does compression hanging have any physiological advantages compared to vac except being able to handle more weight? Can both hangers target the same penile structures equally? Please don’t mention blisters and similar stuff cause they can be well avoided/minimized with right preparation. With this logic compression should be even more cause simple mistakes can be much more severe compared to blisters or red dots.

I used the Vax hanger and gained .75”. Some of that was old gains. But now I can’t gain anything from it and it slips soooooooo much at higher weights. Like after 7kg. Now getting to grips with the Vac hanger. And it’s gonna take a good bit of time unfortunately.

I’ve used both and both are valid ways to gain. The LG Hanger is the best vacuum hanger by far and the Bib is the best compression hanger by far. The LG is more versatile and you can hang for longer sets, with autoextenders modification I use it for extender use as well. Compression hangers are a little better at reaching much high loads. Knowing what we know now about the importance of therapeutic heat (ultrasound therapy) the LG edges out the Bib in my mind as I have more real estate to work with to apply the US transducer. Using high heat sources you can make phenomenal gains using much lighter loads, where the vacuum hangers really shine. I was at one time hanging 17+ lbs with LG but now with heat and extended deload can gain with just 6-10 lbs.
