Glans just won't stay straight in the BIB

Hi,

I am pretty new to hanging been doing it just over a week. A big problem I have is that when I put my BIB starter in no matter how much care i take to put the hanger on, as soon as i start hanging my glans get twisted so my head in not being held laterally like it should do, and instead the pressure could even be applied to the top and bottom of the head which is a big no-no. I have been playing around with the toe in, toe out and adjusting the to no avail. I wrap with thera. Could someone help me out? Thanks, in advance, Joe.

Did you try holding the glans straight while you attach the hanger proper? You could also try wrapping in the reverse direction.

How much twisting are we looking at here? My glans always twists a bit in the hanger. If it’s less than 45 degrees I dont even worry about it.

Try Antistar’s advice. If that doesn’t work, try pushing the hanger towards the glans AS you’re tightening the wingnut.

Most of the time, this problem is the result of improper wrapping. Either too tight or too loose. Remember: The first wrap around the shaft is perpindicular and relatively loose. The subsequent revolutions will spiral down the shaft (1/8” apart) snugly.

I think this is normal as long as it doesn’t twist more than about 45 degrees. What is happening is the CC’s are twisting (like squeezing your two finger together) from the pressure on the sides. One thing I have found to help is to wrap a little over the glands but be sure to attach the hanger in the same place back from the glands. Another thing that might help is to make sure the hanger settings are wider at the bottom than the top. Place the shaft lower in the well and it helps some. Otherwise, it’s pretty normal.

Bigger told me that after a while when the CS gets bigger it won’t twist as bad either.

You can do a search for twisting or twisting in a bib and get lots of info.

Just thought of one other thing that works.

If you notice the glands always twist to the left (for example) start the hanger more to the right. (Attach the hanger off center towards the way the glands wants to go) With some practice this works great.

Also toe out helps. Try different settings.

Thanks allot guys I shall try your tips, and let you know how it goes next session.

Bingo. Nice explanation.

I doubt it will matter if it’s perfectly straight.

If the theraband doesn’t grip well it will allow the twist to take place. I use Johnson & Johnson Hurt Free tape because it grips the hanger and the shaft well. You can always put a theraband wrap on in addition if you need the bulk but I just haven’t had a problem after finding that stuff.

Monty,
That stuff sounds interesting, they don’t sell it i the UK however, is this tape like sports wrap? Please explain. If it is very good I may look into if anywheres shipping internationally.

The BIB starter is not holding onto the internal structures as well as it used to. Funny because before I starting playing with the settings, it worked much better. The theraband also seems to lose it’s effectiveness after a while and gets gummy from the tape when I take it off. I have been considering using talc, or weightlifting chalk, any thoughts?

When I put the hanger on it is not usually supported by the glans and the skin rolls forward over the glans quite a bit, is this unavoidable? I still find it very hard to get the glans straight, which is annoying because this didn’t happen at first. I found that I have to do try a few times just to get them straight, and if i stretch my dick out by the glans while attaching the hanger I haven’t got a chance. Sometimes I can have the glans almost straight but as soon as I start stretchin out the glans torque. So it always takes a few tries which is really bugging me. Also my glans appear somewhat elongated now and there is ring at the top of the glans, I am very worried that the majority of the pressure is on the glans now. That being said I shall keep trucking hopefully I should get it down soon.

Mine wants to be twisted in the hanger as well but the Hurt free allows it to stay in whatever position I place it in. I’m sure you can find it in the UK. I’d be greatly surprised if it wasn’t represented somehow. Let me know if you can’t though I could probably get some to you for around $10 to $15 for a couple of rolls with shipping. Once yo see this stuff then you can possibly find it there by comparison.

I used talc on my Theraband when it got sticky.

I have tried that stuff Monty and it hurts like hell when you remove it. If you can take the pain of the removal it did help stop the twisting.

Magus, I’m not sure how long you have been hanging but I have found that the gel in the hanger will settle after a while and you have to re-adjust the hanger several times to find the proper setting. As for the skin going over the glands, I have the same thing. Just make sure the hanger is not riding on the glands when the weight is applied. Also, try changing the toe of the hanger to “out” and make sure the hanger gaps (when attached) are closer on the top than the bottom.

You do know you have to re-tighten the hanger after you apply the weight and again after a few minutes of hanging. When you re-tighten the hanger, be sure to lift the hanger back first so it gets a better grip.

Thanks for your replies Monty and SWM. My hanger seems to be behaving for now. I made the top gap narrower, and changed it so it now has a very slight toe in, seems to be working ok, hanging 5kg as we speak at a high angle (rope pulley attached to a shelf above my desk), and my glans are keeping pretty straight. By the way, i’ve been working up in 1.25kg increments over the weeks. Started 1.25kg, went to 2.5kg in the same week because 1.25 felt like nothing, second week went to 3.75, and this week im at 5kg. 5kg still doesnt feel like much weight. Should I carry on incrementing slowly or should I jump to a weight where I can feel the fatigue people speak of?

Mags, you should wash your Thera often with soap. Thera gets very sticky (not gummy from tape) after some use. I applied a very small amount of baby powder to both sides of the Thera strip. Just enough to make it smooth to the touch. If it’s too sticky it will be harder to pull back the wrinkles of skin before tightening.

Wrapping is very tricky. Your penis being in an ever-changing mood (flaccid state) makes wrapping even more difficult. When you feel your not getting a good grip of the hanger it usually means you need to adjust your wrap tightness. Or, possibly, adjust your hanger hex-nuts.

My advice: Stay with just using a single strip of Thera. Be as flaccid as possible. Remember, your objective is to create a semi-solid surface for the hanger to grip
WHILE keeping full circulation in the penis.

Twisting in the hanger is a BIG problem. I had several instances of temporary nerve damage as a result of this. As you increase your hanging weight, the problem can get worse. The best solution that I have found is to wrap first with gray thera and make sure that the wrap covers about 1/3 of the glans. I then wrap the thera with an elastic (ace bandage). This will almost always stop the twisting. I have been hanging now for 3 years with the Bib and am up to 30 lbs. which I gradually decrease over 4-6 sets. I have found that I get some nasty pain from the thera clinging to my skin as I unwrap. However, I solved that by coating my unit with a light layer of cocoa butter before wrapping. Good luck.
