Have you ever manually stretched? If you have, you may have felt the same ligament pull, without hanging. Just because you don’t feel it, doesn’t mean nothing is happening. Ligaments don’t have the nerve endings that regular tissue does. When we feel a ligament pull, it’s actually the attachments moving that we feel. Not the ligaments themselves.
There’s no need to increase weight, simply because you don’t feel it. Have you looked up strain and how to calculate it? When your measurements halt progress is the time to either increase weight or take a deconditioning break based on strain. Strain calculations tell you how much weight to use.
I’m not gonna explain all of that. There’s pages upon pages, and threads upon threads; doing just that. You need to search some more. There is no “one size fits all” answer. You must properly measure and calculate.
