How important is an ADS after hanging?

How important is an ADS after hanging?

Just as the title says, how important is it? I used to always finish my sets with an ADS to prevent turtling, but now my circumstances are such that it’s much more difficult. Is it really that important?


Flaccid BP stretched length: Just under 9"

Currently ~(7.5" x 5.5")

Goal: 9" x 6.5"

If you are hanging using the heat then weighted cooldown that has become very popular from guys like Kyrpa, 5.5, etc… then no ads is necessary. I’m using this method, it’s an hour, 5 days per week and then you just go on with your life.

I’ll have to look into it. Due to working long hours I can only train 4 days/week, but during my “off days” I hang for 10 - 20 minutes before bed and then sleep with the ADS. Could you elaborate more on the method you’re using? I might search threads by those users.

Progress is slowing though despite doing more. Achieving fatigue is getting more difficult.

I was under the impression that the ADS was to cement gains in stretching the ligs. 5.5 and those guys seem to be mainly focusing on the tunica.

I always thought it was to prevent turtling and basically augment the results from hanging. As in hanging + ADS > hanging without ADS. It can also be used to retain gains if you can’t do any hanging due to time constraints. Apparently, the ADS helps ensure that the penis heals in a more elongated state.

I have a verified gain, so far, of 1.5” using hanging and an ADS. I would say that you most likely will gain with either one individually but they compliment each-other so well why wouldn’t you use them both? Intense stretching for short periods of time and then low tension for long periods of time. I hang for about 3 hours a day in two 1.5 hour sets and then spend an average of 12-16 hrs a day in an ADS. I do this in 2-3 month stints and then usually get burnt out. Have been doing this for the past few years and it seems to be working! Going for 7” BP and honestly still think I want more. I do not think I will feel “big” until I am 8” BP so got less than 1.5” to go!

Happy to hear your experience I personally like the idea of using the ADS keeps me more focused on my goal and growing at the same time. Just trying to find the balance of not over doing things since I have that tendency. It seems to have been talked about a lot on the forum lately (less is more, add more decons) but hearing the ADS has only had positive impact is good to hear. When I get back from vacation I’m going to start using mine a lot more. I’m still new to all of this so want to get started in the right direction

Congrats on the excellent progress!! Well done! And I’m shooting for the same thing.

I’ve finally learned to sleep with my ADS, so that’s been very helpful. I’ll do at least one hour of high-intensity stretching followed by 8 - 10 hours with the ADS. It’s working, so I don’t want to change anything.
