but with a shorter throw. It should be possible to make at home for under $100. Probably under $50 with a little research. Then all you need is a vacuum bit which are easy to get.

This is a low weight device. No way it would work with a heavy load on batteries.

This is interesting. Instead of just hanging the weight statically, it creates a constant fast movement. $799 is a lot of money. I agree about the do it yourself option, it seems like some kind of vibrating motor could be attached to your hanger and have a similar effect.

I’ve got an old oscillating sander in my shop that I’d be happy to sell for $799.

That would do nicely and no batteries. Potentially a bit noisy for those who practice furtive PE.

The price tag is the most extreme thing about it.
