Is traction similar to hanging with the force which is exerted on the unit? Does traction also stretch the lig with increased tension?

I’m no expert, but from what I can gather..
A) traction devices impose a low amount of tension and are for use over a longer period of time I.e. Hours.
B) hanging weights imposes a high amount of tension and should not be done for longer than about 20 minutes
Yeah, i understand that…I was just wondering if it created a similar type of tension on the lig.

I see the first question has been answered. For the second it depends how you’re wearing the stretcher. If you’re wearing it pointing down you’re stretching your ligs.
Just beware of overdoing it with the traction device
Thanks for the links glandmaster. I’ve read the posts…very interesting. How long would someone wear a traction device without taking a break. I know once discoloration occurs to stop, but if circulation is not an issue, what is the time frame?
