Vacuum vs. Compression Hanging

Q: What is the difference, if any?

Background: I’m not talking set up or equipment. I’ve used both methods. I’m talking about if it works the same aspects/parts of one’s penis.

For me, I prefer using vacuum hanging because I can keep hanging for more than 60 minutes at a time. It makes it easier to hang for an hour, w/o having to “disconnect and refresh” with compression hanging every 15 minutes.

I’m just dreading the day when the weight becomes to heavy for vacuum hanging. Thanks,

What weight are you using for the vacuum hanger? What is the max weight?

A vacuum hanger pulls from the glans, a compression hanger from the bottom of the hanger. The vacuum puts tension over more of the length, with the potential for more gains.

However, some men have sharp limits to how much vacuum their glans can tolerate before they get petechiae or vacuum blisters. Compression hangers will let you hang a lot more weight before you run into problems.

As the old saying goes, there’s no free lunch. Both have their advantages and drawbacks.

If you use decons I don’t think you have to worry about the weight becoming too heavy. I honestly don’t think one is better than the other both are just more suitable for different situations.
I’d say compression hanging is more suitable for those with time restrictions, since you do not need to hang for a long time/can’t hang for a long time due to the weight that you end up using.

Although people who vac hang don’t normally need to deal with any turtling(personal experience and from reading others posts), while compression hangers (from what I’ve read) have to think of ways to combat it like using sleeves for longer periods of time or incorporating cooldowns using a cold bottle or something.

As for what it works, I think AndyJ is correct.

Yeah, I see some of that clearly. It is just some parts swirl around and I can’t make heads or tails.

Hi guys, i finally bought myself a vacuum hanger and have loved the feeeling.

I am doing 30 min sets and have been taking off the cap every time i finish my set.
Is it necessary? Or should i just remove the weight slap my dick a few time, wait a few min 5 or 10 min and the do the next set?

Im using the tape over the glans and havent had any blisters yet, hope i never get them either.

Looking forward for your advice.

Why is vacuum pumping not recommended for more than 15-20 minutes per set for security reasons, yet vac hanging is being used for a full hour? I’ll never understand what’s so different about that. But then many people getting those blisters and stuff unless they use weird wrapping systems, tells me I’m on to something with this question.

I always tape and never had blisters. No need to remove the vac hanger if you are going to hang again. Just take the weight off do what you need to do and then add the weight again when ready.

Is it true vacuum hangers cause more enlargement than compression hangers with much less weight?

Has anyone here gained from vacuum hangers only or went through a stint of vacuum hanging only and gained?

I believe it all depends on how much time and effort you put into the thing. And then the fact that what works for some, might not work for others.

I and many more on these boards have gained length while only doing vacuum hanging. As stated above though, folks have done it and got no gains from it.

Unfortunately with PE there are no guaranteed methods or approaches that work for everyone

Now back on topic, to partially answer your question, in my case it’s a noose-style/compression hanger and I’ve used it for around 250 hours, growing around 1,5 to 1,7cm during that time. Median use per day was at around 2 hours. Max use time per day was 4 hours. All in 15 to 20 minute sets. No longer than that.

Pumping is open-ended; it stretches your shaft from your body to the vacuum area ahead of the glans. Over time, lymph will fill the glans and the shaft skin, expanding out into the empty space at the end of the tube, causing a giant doughnut.

When correctly fitted, there is no air space in the vacuum cap of an extender/hanger/ADS. With no space, there’s nowhere for lymph to go to make edema.

At some point you can put enough tension on the cap to pull the outer skin (well, it’s actually a “mucous membrane” according to the medical types) away from the main part of the glans, and you can get blisters anyway. That determines the upper limit of vacuum hanging. Wrapping will push that limit further out; how much seems to depend on the individual.
