Advise on decent first pump to buy?

Greetings everyone!

I’m looking into starting pumping, obviously. Based on gprent’s thread Selecting Your Cylinder Size and I’m looking to get some more length first, I’d need either a 1.5 or 1.75 cylinder, but outside of that I don’t know much about what makes pumps of equal dimensions different.

I’ve seen some pumps on sites like Adam and eve, local adult stores web pages, even GroupOn… I imagine they’re cheap and ineffective but I wouldn’t know why. I noticed none of them have gauges, I would certainly start off slow but without a gauge wouldn’t know the exact pressure for consistency’s sake.

I wasn’t able to find any threads directly comparing brands and kinds head to head. For simplicity I’d prefer an air pump for now. Where can I poke my head around and what should I look for? Whats a good price range?

Thanks in advance!

I would go for a Leluv like this:

They have a 1.5” diameter cylinder but for the moment, no 1.75”.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks for your help, I did see that when browsing around but didn’t know how to really compare. Having a gauge is nice and cheaper pumps just scream ‘cheap’. I’ll probably grab it this week some time.
Looks like I’ve had some girth gains however, I’m now up to 5” still looking for length first in my routines. The 1.75 seems like the correct option now but figured it wouldn’t hurt to double check with you.

Cheers,

The other option to get the 1.75” cylinder is to go to penisdepot.com and order this cylinder:

For what it is worth, I have been hearing that the LeLuv cylinders have leakage issues.

Gprent’s penisdepot set-up looks pretty darn good.

Here’s what gear I have and have used, really like.

I.ve got cylinders from Boston Pump, Vacutech, and LapDist. They are all great, excellent fit and finish.

For my first cylinder, Boston Pump was around 58.00 us, so that was the most economical.

For pump I use the Harbor Freight Brake Bleeder kit, $25.00. Also works for water pumping.

You will need to get a male connector to connect cylinder to the pump tubing:

Okay so there was one other I came across that appears to have the same stuff, just has that feeling of being cheap. Any idea on how it compares? Also on the penisdepot ones, what is the difference between Tapered and Straightwall? Just size? Seems the tapered is $105 and straightwall $125 but I don’t see what any differences are.

LeLuv $75:
Penis Depot $105 / $125:
Size Matters $65.5 :

Are my 3 options then. Fair to say its in order of PenisDepot, LeLuv, SizeMatters?

If I was in the States I would buy a leluv cylinder (very cheap (30-40 $?), from what I gathered good quality and great feedbacks regarding customers’ service) and add a harbor freight pump. Buy a hose and a connector too and you’re good to go .

Size Matters pump looks plastic. I am fairly sure there is a Harbor Freight store in your town. Well built brass pump, suitable for air or water. $25.00

Penis Depot:
Tapered cylinder narrows to smaller diameter from base of cylinder to tip, sorta like a traffic cone but not as extreme. I personally would not use tapered.
Straight wall is the same diameter from base of cylinder to tip.

Again, have heard from at least 3 or 4 people that the LeLuv cylinders do not hold vacuum as they leak.

I pump for length too and get my cylinders from Vacutech. I have both an elliptical and flared penis cylinder. Based on how your penis is shaped would determine of you go with an elliptical or regular tube. My penis is shaped more for the elliptical tubes.

My next purchase is a thick wall elliptical cylinder, as I hear they are great for length gains. Here are my suggestions:

1.75"

1.75"

1.5" x 2"

I hope this helps and you reach your goals!

Great info xtendeddick. These guys are only a couple hours from me. I wonder if the will let me try, before I buy…:)

Ok, not that I want to annoy you but one of the few I’ve seen who was complaining about Leluv cylinders was sparkyx who said it didn’t hold the vacuum once the pump was disconnected . I myself bought a thickwall cylinder and I’m very happy with it (super quality), I know someone else who bought a leluv cylinder and finds it works very well, so it all depends on how much the OP is willing to spend.

Expense is a factor and I’d certainly want to avoid cheap junk, but it only seems smart to want to make sure you’re going to be using something reliable and safe. Either way it’s one days paycheck. I don’t know what makes a 75 dollar set different from 125 other than “materials”.

So it seems down to those two, unless I try to split purchases up. I’ll hunt for some reviews and info about them. These brake bleeder pump kits, is there anything to do with them or is it just the pump and the extra stuff isn’t necessary?

All of the pumps recommended in this thread are quality pumps. The difference in price is basically the profit margin for the seller. As a beginner, I always think it is easiest to buy a turn-key system that is ready to go out of the box and that is not the case trying to save a buck with a brake bleeder pump as you then have to buy a male quick disconnect fitting.

Ha ha not easily annoyed here.

I’ve got a vacutech Thickwall cylinder, love pumping w that thing.

Two last questions: regardless of the Leluv/Penisdepot pump I choose… I imagine I would need some kind of seal at the end of the tube in order to create the vacuum. Is this mandatory depending on how I fit? What can I use for this?

And lastly for lubrication, would the baby oil I use for normal routines work or should I use a standard water based sex lube?
