Any definitive "Best Pump"?

Certainly it’s whatever works for you, but I am now a little concerned with Boston Pumps, which I was literally ready to buy. The thread below talks about an intentional crack in the threads and not being able to hold vacuum. Is the general consensus that this is an anomaly? Or am I safer with LA Pumps?

I have a $150 budget, any recommendations are appreciated.

Certainly I’m going to get a pump with a gauge, but if I do consider Boston, they also have a bazillion different kinds of cylinders: contoured, etc…

I’m thinking I’m leaning towards LA for the simplicity. Any thoughts for a newbie?

MityVac 4000

It’s the brake bleeder that’s in the “Silverline” kit. Solid piece. It should allow you to both a firm erection AND brake pedal. Nice little bonus.

Vacu-Tech.

I was pleased with the pump…but not the results from pumping.

"Debate the idea..."

I would go with lapdist. You get a reliable strong brass, not plastic, pump with a gauge and the cylinders are flared at the bottom for extra comfort.

Who ever you go with, be sure to use our sizing chart, not theirs: Selecting Your Cylinder Size

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks, gprent. Lapdist it is. They look the simplest, too. One package, no separate measuring, etc…

I just ordered a pump from Lapdist!

Started: 6.75" BPEL, 8" (20 cm) BPFSL (1/2015) x 5" (12.5 cm) EG; Current (7/2017): 8" (20 cm) BPEL, 8.2" (20.5 cm) BPFSL x 5.8" (14.5 cm) EG; Gains (7/2017): 1.25" (3.125 cm) EL, 0.2" (0.5 cm) BPFSL x 0.8" (2 cm) EG

Short-term goal: 8.25 (20.625 cm) BPEL, 8.3" (20.75 cm) BPFSL x 6" (15 cm) EG; Long-term goal: 9" (22.5 cm) BPEL x 6" EG

Yep, me, too.

I’ve got a sneaking suspicion I will respond very well to pumping.

My Boston Pump cylinder works great, I have no trouble with vacuum. It is an excellent cylinder.

I see you already got your pump — so this is for "future generations"

As iamaru says, the best pump value is the Harbor Freight Brake Bleeder kit for $18.99, but it does not come with the required male connector.

Lap pump = harbor freight tools pump

This is the same pump as the LapDist "Deluxe Pump (w/PSI Gauge)". However you will still have to buy the male connector and some hose. That thread I linked to gives the part number from McMaster.com if you decide to go that route.

The second best pump value right now is at picturebrite.com — look on the penis pump page for "P131 - Hand Grip Pump w/guage $30.60." This too is the same as the LapDist "Deluxe Pump (w/PSI Gauge)". It comes with hose and connector, so for one stop shopping this is great.

I love my lapdist, but I also love the one I got from picturebrite. I cut off the contriction base for it was too small for my girth, and sanded it down. So it is more like a thickwall cylinder, here is a link to what I am talking about:

Mine hurts a tad because handcrafted by me cannot be made perfectly smooth, but I love how it digs into my fat pad and literally pumps about 1 inch of my inner penis as well, which is something to consider. Apparently it is better for length, and I am believing that from the short amount of time I have used it.

What were those results, Goonbaby?

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Why would you need hose when the Harbor Freight pump already comes with hose? It’s large enough for the male adapter that you’ll get from another source.

The hose that came with my Harbor Freight pump is less than three feet and SMELLS REALLY BAD — some kind of black tubing with a nasty burnt rubber smell.

The smell probably wouldn’t bother me if I was pumping out brake fluid! But since I am pumping something else, the odor of an auto mechanics shop wasn’t good!

So I got some nice clear tubing (like you get with the Lapdist or picturebrite version) that has no smell and that I can cut to a longer length. It was cheap, sold by the foot at the hardware store.

I know what you mean about the smell. I have the Harbor Freight pump, and an older, more expensive automotive brass pump with gauge. The more expensive pump hose does not have an odor. The Harbor Freight hose is as you describe.

The suggestion about the hardware store is a good one, for those who want to replace the hose. I’m sure it’s cheaper buying it there than paying shipping from somewhere.

gprent specified the hose over in that harborfreight thread as:

Abrasion-Resistant PVC/Polyurethane Tubing Clear, 3/16" ID, 5/16" OD, 1/16" Wall Thickness

It is a perfect snug fit on the male connector. It is a little too snug for the pump nozzle, so it takes some work to get the tubing onto the nozzle — but I feel like I have a good leakfree line from pump to cylinder. (By the way, I found the hose that came with the harbor freight to be not so snug on the male connector)

Here is gprent’s post from that thread. I’ve bolded the items for the purpose of setting up a harbor freight pump. (other items are if you want to build your own cylinder)
