I was wondering if using just a pump alone with no other exercises can condition the internal tissues (CC, CS) to be able to accept more strenuous workouts?

Also, right now it seems like I’m packing the base of my 1.75 tube, about 1-2” up. My glands are also packing the tube. The rest of the shaft is pretty far behind and has a LONG way to go to pack the tube. I’m 7.25” BPEL so there’s a good amount of shaft that has to play catch up!

Is the growth (girth) of the rest of the shaft something that can be achieved from pumping alone?

You haven’t been reading much in the Pumpers Forum. The often talked about best way to achieve permanent gains by pumping is to combine your pump routine with a jelq routine in an alternating fashion. For instance, you can pump for 10 minutes and then do light to moderate jelqing for 5 minutes and continue with this for several sets of each.

Thanks for the reply, I understand that gprent, and have read that many times. The problem is I have ED and am currently using a minor pumping routine of 5 sets of 5 minute sessions at 3-5hg to try and improve the ED per the post by Advocet, and also condition the tissue so I may not overtrain so easily.

I cannot maintain an erection long enough to jelq. When I have attempted jelqing in the past I seemed to overtrain easily which is why I was interested in pumping to condition the tissue. The fact that it did not require me to keep a consistant force with my hands (not too much or not too little) like jelqing, seemed intriging. I simply set the pressure and really concentrate on the ‘feeling’.

So my above questions still stands. Anyone?

Then keep doing the pumping alone. Pumping will definitely increase blood supply to your penis and over time should start to greatly improve your ED situation. Keep doing that routine suggested by Avocet. To make that routine a little easier you can try to just release the pressure down to zero every 5 minutes without coming out of the cylinder and then just pumping right back up. If you over train easily you might also try sticking with just 4”hg max for awhile. Zero trauma is the best way to avoid any PE related ED.

I’m thinking the same thing GP, my workout was this:

I was only able to go in flaccid or with approximately a 40% erection
10 minute warmup with washcloth
5 minutes at 3hg
let it go completely flaccid while massaging
5 minutes at 4hg
let it go completely flaccid while massaging
Then 3, 5 minute sessions at 5hg with letting it go flaccid and the massage between each set.

After doing 1 workout of that pumping routine if felt and looked great, it was full and heavy, and hung fuller for most of the day. Then I did it again the following day and it looked pretty good, but not quite like the day before so I took a day off completely, then another repeat of the above routine last night and afterwards my dick felt beat to shit and over trained. It was achy on the sides and spongy.

This morning the achyness is gone, but it still feels a bit spongy. I read something from over at Remek’s site (pegym.com) where a member that has PE’d for a while had a similar issue. Here’s what he said.

I haven’t TOUCHED a length exercise in about 9 months, and I suddenly put my dick under 4.5 lbs of tension; as it is, when I was hanging I got results and I only ever worked my way up to just 5 lbs! So even though 3”Hg seems to be much less expansive force than I put myself under while clamping, it’s been surprisingly rough on me because there’s a length element to it that I’m not in the slightest bit conditioned for.

This sounds similar to me, and what I just experienced with pumping. I don’t stretch cause it seems like as soon as I do even the most remedial stretch, I over train. I was hoping the pumping would condition me to be able to start to stretch and jelq. My length is decent starting PE at 7.25” bpel but EQ and more girth is what my real goals are.

Perhaps even sneaking up to 5hg like I did was too much for my dick. Maybe just 3hg for 5 sets will yield me more positive PI’s. Even that may prove to be too many sets.

Man, I would really appreciate any advice from you veteran pumpers, or people that may have the same ‘easy to over train’ condition that I have and how you overcame that.

Any advice would be a welcome read my friends!

It’s not just ED but a lack of Libido also. Overall I’m healthy as a horse (not hung like one! ;) ). I do have a good amount of stress and anxiety in my life The anxiety was from performance loss. The mood swing was most likely due to a ‘low side of normal’ Testosterone level. The doctor just started me on Androgel 2 weeks ago.

I use 1/4 tab of a 20mg Cialis every other day to allow for nocturnal and morning wood so I can keep blood flow in there when it’s time for the ‘housekeeping’ part of the system.

That’s the only meds I’m on becides vitamines. I have perfect blood pressure, healthy heart, I train in the gym 5 days per week, about 10% bodyfat (it went up a little, was 8%, but I can lose it quick), and my diet is spot on, no fried foods, no greasy foods, no fast foods EVER! My Cholosterol was right on. I have never smoked, and I rarely drink, a 6 pack of beer will last in my fridge for about a month. I’m kind of a health freek.

I think my ED had much to do with a combination of my Test levels and stress.

I hope that the Test gel starts hitting my libido in a positive way within the next week, but I’m not sure how long it takes to start seeing an effect from it. I know it gets in your system pretty quick, but how soon it effects your moods and desires I dont know

You and I have PM’d already, so this is for the benefit of others.

Lets just say you can bench 225 for five reps if you push to total failure. Lets just say you go back the next day and try to do it again, and the next day, and so on. What do you think will happen? You will be weaker on the second day, by the third day or forth, you will be crushed by the 225 when you try and lift it.

It is because you caused tissue damage from going to failure,and you have not allowed enough time to recover and get stronger…its very similar in PE. IF you have a good response from a routine, then 2X later you have crashed and burned…you are not properly recovered!

Fitman, in this case, if you went to a 1 on and 2 off cycle, it might actually be a good workout for you. I do think it is better to do a 1 on 1 off, and better yet to do a daily if you can do it. The bottom line is you MUST read your own EQ in response to the stimulus of PE and ADJUST your routine to make sure you are never more than a day or two of rest away from your best EQ. [So in a case like above, you can either increase days off OR decrease the time and intensity…but you must do one or both of those.]

In your case, you first need to improve your EQ, because its shit right now. So, its far better to take it easy and work up slow.

I use 5 mg of Cialis too, but only every 4-5 days, generally the day of my best girth routine.

When I began PE, 2 years ago, my libido was very low too, maybe for your same anxiety reasons.

I am a 51 former bodybuilder so I ask you why you train in the gym so hard. I think that 3 days a week are more than sufficient if your goal is fitness.

Intense workout in the gym maybe in some cases the reason of low Test.

I don’t know Androgel. Do dosage of your testosterone to see if the medication is working.

Thanks Mark. I also bodybuild however I don’t compete, I tried once but I could not handle the diet. To be perfectly honest, just a few weeks ago I cut my workouts to every other day and added more cardio. But for the last 2 years prior to that it was 5 days on with doing a different bodypart (2 of them) each day, then 2 days off.

I’ve always been told that heavy weightlifting/bodybuilding raises your test levels. I’ll keep you posted on how the Androgel is working. I did have good morning wood this morning and I haven’t taken the 1/4 tab of Cialis in 2 days so it should be out of my system. The test might be just starting to kick in, I hope!

Fitman, your T-levels was measured by your Doc?

Sparkyx and mark001 gave you right advices, I think. Heavy weight training raise T-levels, but only if you don’t overtrain; if you overwork, your T-levels will go down. Three days a week is better then 5d/w; but you have to change type of training: bodybuilding type of training, with sets going to failure or near, is not sustainable for long time if you don’t use steroids. Don’t be foolished by mag’s training charts, they are written by, and having in mind, chemical addicted guys.

The best weigth training routine for naturals is the 3x3 system by Korte (search on google; if you can’t find, PM me and I’ll e-mail to you - it’s in public domain).

You already know, I’m sure, that anti-anxiety drugs are bad for libido and T-levs. kingpole can give you good tips about herbal remedies for your problems.

It’s difficult getting gains from pumping alone; you have to use manual exercise, and if you can’t get erection don’t matter, limp-jelqs are underestimated: many PEers had excellent gains using them.Just do manual exercise gently, sleep the more you can (melatonin is very good aid, try it), be patient.

Yes, my Testosterone levels were checked by a doctor.

I always felt like I kept myself under the overtraining level in the gym. I dont practice going to failure often at all, I typically wont go below 6 reps on any movement. I trained for 12 years straight then had a back injury and took 7 years off. I got back in the gym, it will be 2 years this Janurary. In that time I lost body fat and put on just over 25 lbs of muscle. I think alot of it had to do with ‘muscle memory’ since I was in this shape before I stopped training. I train each bodypart only once a week so it’s totally recovered by the next time I hit it again.

Can you explain how limp jelq can benifit girth? Or is it just for length?

your training seem wise to me; not more than 6 reps is the bottom line.

Limp jelqs are useful for length, but could be also useful for girth, as the combined action of straigth tension and light pumping blood causes micro-tears that lead to expansion of tunica; think also that stretching leads (at least to most of PEers) to girth-gains. After some week, it should aid your EQ too.

In PE, we haven’t a therotycal explanation for everything; X number of persons try an exercise and find that have some kind of results - this is similar to what happens in weight training.

You also may know that Tribulus Terrestris could be a could aid in normalizing T-levels; I tried and found good ; it’s not expensive, also.

Tongkat Ali is reputed to have an even stronger effect in raising T-levs, but I think you should read more about, (there are several thread related on this site, do a search) and maybe ask to your Doc what he think about.

In the end, if you have erection difficulties pumping could not be the best thing to do, because it impose to your penis an innatural stress: isn’t your body that push blood in the penis, is the vacuum. But this is a strictly personal opinion, and I’m not an expert at all about pumping. However, avoid using more than 6 HG of pressure.
