Condom pumping

If you use vaseline only on the bottom (acryllic) flange or rim of your cylinder to set a seal, you will not have a worry about degrading your equipment. Rubber is another thing altogether.

There are also polyurethane condoms… Avanti, etc. Those would take vaseline.

Vaseline is just so…goopy. With all lubes and organic oils out there I don’t see why you would want to go with Vaseline or Baby oil.

Thunder, Baby Oil gel? I have never heard that Baby Oil came in gel form. Have you ever used it?

Yelp. Harder to clean up than some other lubes though.

They have this stuff at WALLYWORLD or is it a hard to find item.

In another thread we are discussing the history of PE.

That thread prompted the memory of a book I read ~10 years ago by Gary Griffin. By the time I got a pump a few years latter, I didn’t do much with it because a central dogma of the PE world at that time was quickly becoming that pumping didn’t work. We now know differently.

I dug The Vacuum Pumper's Handbook (Fifth Edition, copyright 1996.) out of an old box this morning and found:

“One pumper recommends wearing a condom during pumping. While this may sound unusual, he states that when unrolled over the shaft, the latex creates a passive resistance against the engorgement from the inside. He claims that it allows the pumper to use a much higher vacuum and somehow permits a greater expansion once the condom is removed and the pumping is continued.”

I kind of liked the idea that I had thought of condom pumping on my own but I must have read that.

Anyway, the last sentence is interesting. I don’t think I have tried pumping after condom removal, maybe there is something to that.

I agree about the vaseline. I have finally grown into my pump tube and now I use a ky lube for easy cleanup on my dick shaft but nothing to keep the seal. My own body seems to hold a seal pretty good not perfect but pretty good.

I’m really curious as to what the effect of condom pumping is overall, besides keeping fluid retention down. Does it allow for greater pressures to be utilized? Is it a worth while addition to the standard pumping?

I think a lot of us tried it and found we could utilize more pressure but gave it up because dealing with the condoms is a hassle. I don’t remember if anyone posted long term results in this thread. I don’t know if it is worth doing all the time but it seems safe enough to at least try if you keep the pressure down. Why don’t you give it a shot and let us know what you think?

Ok, I may try it but it’ll be a while because when I get my pump I’ve got to break in and learn how the pump effects me. If I do try it I will post on it.
