Dropped my cylinder, chipped it, suggestions?

So as I was taking my cylinder out of my bag the other night I unfortunately dropped it. I almost shed a tear because I am finally gaining consistently. It was a sad moment.

It got chipped at the end where it flares. I tried pumping with it and I can get a seal and pump fine but it digs into my skin and cuts me because it isn’t smooth anymore. Any suggestions on how to smooth it out or prevent the skin digging? It’s plastic.

Take a lighter and hold the flame over the chip until the sharp edge melts over smooth. Also when pumping turn the tube so the chipped place is on top, dorsal side of the shaft there is less skin to get pinched in the crack. Or PumpToys sells a silicone ring that fits right over the flange.

If the flame hasn’t hit the tube yet, you might also want to consider filling the chip with clear epoxy and then sanding it smooth.

If its a small chip, Just sand it out with sandpaper

Damn. Should of been more patient. But I think if I sand the burnt part then go over with epoxy then sand it again it will be like new. Any suggestions for shaping the epoxy to get it to match the original flare shape?

Just use fine sandpaper and wrap it around a small sanding block.

Just sand the flare a slight bit shorter around the circumference of the cylinder until the chip is gone!

Duct tape

It is a huge chip though. I sanded it and it works okay but hurts a little. I’m going to get epoxy today and try to recreate the flare.

Get a rubber flange.

I thought all pumps came with them.
