I can confirm that with a unequivocal ‘YES’. Very early in my pumping career, I sustained a potentially devastating injury caused by holding max vacuum for long periods (30-40 mins.).

You can read the details in my first post titled ‘Injury Caution’.

I am not sure how you achieve that. I use a Mr Fantastic water pump, use warm water and dynamically pump in the range 3 - 16” Hg typically with a 2 minute cycle. I find even if I go in erect I get a great expansion in the cylinder but fluid build up must be involved to some extent. When I come out I am larger than my normal erect size but it has a ‘flabby’ feel and I could not call it erect. To get it properly erect I do a bit of jelqing let it rest and then manually stimulate it.

I am not sure how you can program a pulsar or qs7 so you get your result? If you concentrate in driving the Mr Fantastic by manually adjusting the leak valve while pumping you should be able to simulate what these programmable pumps do albeit at a lower level of precision. What I do not understand is how you can program the pump so you come out immediately hard yet get good expansion in the cylinder while pumping. For example do you normally pack the cylinder?

I manual pump and come out flabby and unerect. I pack to the glans.

With the pulsar and qs7 they can cycle vacuum at a quick enough rate to cause pleasure which stimulates erection and can even make you ejaculate. This means they can cause the largest erect pumped cock because its trained during an erection the entire time.

Interesting I assume you are doing a very short cycle to achieve this - a few seconds - so you are getting a rapid pulsing action?

I understand how that might stimulate you. On the other hand from what Rootsnatty advised me in the Stress Relaxation thread that sort of rapid pump and release might actually toughen up your unit rather than help it grow.

I havent used these yet. Just seen the youtubes and specs. Yes this may toughen the tissues. But it may also train the largest unassisted ERECT size. Im going to find out.

Fair enough. I’ve pretty much stayed clear of water based pumping due to the hassle unless someone brings out a device with accurate facts of making it effective with achieving gains as opposed to air based electric pump systems. The battery pack which I also purchased fits perfectly on the back of the Pulsar makes pumping a lot less hassle when seated bedside or lying down on the bed. I’m undecided which is the best angle to actually start and finish a work out in.

Quick question. Any idea how to lower the erection angle of the penis? It makes it very difficult to take a measurement let alone battle testicle suction.

High erection angles suck especially if you have a thick fat pad, so a high erection angle coupled with a 1.5” fat pad can steal 2” of visible cock or even more.

The only way to lower the erection angle is to stretch or sever the suspensitory ligaments ( the ones that hold it up ). You would stretch it by downward hanging or extending or downward stretches. I have an upward angle and even after some years of hanging it’s still too much upward.

I did water based for a while and it was nice to do something different, but I think with the programmable computerized pumps it will be too much of a hassle.

Gofor8, I find the Mr Fantastic water pump fairly easy to use. I use it in bed and it works fine with me either on my back or on my side with the cylinder resting on one leg. Never had a leak. One main benefit is the use of hot water which keeps my unit nice and warm well into the 60 min pump cycle. I find I can comfortably pump for longer sessions than with an air pump. The silicone sealing ring also works like a cockring and helps keep you erect during the pump session. When I air pump I use a Leluv flanged cylinder without a silicone sealing ring.

The downside was that before I used a glans protector with baby powder blisters were an issue. I suspect the direct water glans contact under vacuum is the cause and that baby powder under the protector keeps the glans skin dry thus preventing blisters.

Exactly my challenge as well; not to make excuses of my current size but like you mentioned downward stretching or hanging would hopefully reduce the angle. Their is a picture circulating online where the guy has clearly done extensive PE and as a result has a massive pull directly straight down. It look’s clearly like all of his internal penis has been pull out and down and wasn’t naturally in this state. Big speculation but the picture gives away too many signs of this occurring.

Thanks for the thorough review; I’ve owned and used the Bathmate x40 Xtreme version and considered it my last dance with water based pumping but your feedback is logical and on point with the Mr fantastic water pump and will definitely be considered if I decide to switch back in the future.

Thanks again,

Gofor8, I also have a Bathmate, a cheap chinese one, which came with a strap.I got it from aliexpress before I got the Mr Fantastic water pump. When I was using an air pump I used to do a bit of extra pumping with the bathmate when I was in the shower. Occasionally still use it to get a bit of extra pumping time in but it is a primitive device compared to the Mr Fantastic water pump as your vacuum is limited by by the crude ‘bellows’ pump in the base and you have no idea how much vacuum you have. Also you can only really use it in the shower or bath.

If you do decide to go for a dynamic water pump make sure you use the glans protector and baby powder. Those damn blisters take you out of action for too long.

I purchased mine through one of official online retailers but also spent “full price” for it. The quality is excellent but a simple correction of having the measuring sticker engraved into the actual tube like Penomet would have been a smart move. Primitive is absolutely correct it was a great option when it came out in 2003-05 but the knowledge and technology for PE has surpassed this as an option for pumping. Not to say you can’t gain with it but their is simply better options available for pumping now moving into 2016 shortly.I could possibly see them try to create an additional attachment to monitor pressure but at the moment their biggest focus has been unveiling the x20 model and the soon be newly developed x50 version in late January 2016.

I’ve ever seen someone use a Bathmate Goliath who actually fits it correctly. It’s likely a strange goal but I plan on keeping the x40 to hopefully use it in 2-3 years time when I’ve made some great gains to maximize the large space inside. Considering it has a recommended maximum 8.4 inch length and 6.9 girth with of course the ability to likely hit 9 x 7 this is likely the largest pump I’ll ever need for water based pumping.

I will definitely make sure I wear the glans protector and baby power. I’m just finishing up my recovery with a blister mid shaft from dynamic pumping as a result of a improper fitting tube and not taking enough time to warm up. I simply rushed the process due to running tight on time for getting to work. I should have just considered it a day off or light jelqing and just walk away and fight another day.

Which Bathmate model do you have?

> a blister mid shaft

Are you sure it was a blister and not an edema? I have got edemas mid shaft - like a large soft swellingwith a lot of localised fluid retention. THe gradually went down over a few days. Got those from over pumping - too high a vacuum for too long and not wearing a silicone sleeve. Now I pack my cylinder I only use a glans protector and a short (1”) sleeve directly behind and slightly overlapping to stop excessive fluid build up in my foreskin.

The blisters I got were all on the glans and were between the outer layer of skin and the next one. After a few days the blistered skin breaks naturally and I am normally ready for action in about a week. It is one case where a foreskin is an advantage as it provides natural protection during healing.

>Which Bathmate model do you have?

Think it is the original one, blue - Hercules? Looks identical to the original one and I suspect from the same factory in China even though Bathmate claim they are made in the UK. It came with the shower strap which is very useful. Will keep mine so I can get a bit of extra pumping time in the shower from time to time.

Hi everyone, I know that it just sounds crazy, but is it possible dinamically pumping at 3-15 hg from 3 to 5 hours a day for a year?

Also what is the best way to ensure a real expansion and minimal / nonexistent fluid buildup? How do you prevent the best possible water retention? Thanks for attention.

Not sure your glans would stand up to it without a blister even if you are using a protector and baby powder. The most I have done is 2 hours a day 5 days a week..

Silicone pumping sleeves certainly help reduce fluid build up. I also believe post pump jelqing helps.
