Selecting Your Cylinder Size

How does this size chart apply to the Wide Mouth Cylinder at LA Pump?

| LA Pump

If I’m 5.5" at the base, should I step down to a 1.75" or get the with 2" or ?

Would a 1.75 tube do it for me or should I go for a 2” diameter tube? I mainly wanna target base and midshaft girth not glans although it wouldnt hurt if it would come along.

The lube is really necessary when you are packing and it helps you slide out once you are finished pumping.

I got the 10x2 inch tube and my lapdist pump today :) Im only experimenting safely right now, though when I pump I touch the tube with my glans and base but the rest of the shaft remains unexpanded as far as i can tell. (Iam using about 2-4 HG inch) Should i give the 1.75 a try? (In short, I see lots of expansion at the base and glans but not midshaft which is where I want it the most)

I also sort of find it too big in length for my almost 8” BPEL Since I have lots of room to expand lengthwise and i primarily want girth, is this nothing to worry about?

As you start spending more time in the cylinder, the mid portion of your shaft should start to expand. For instance, when you work up to 3, 10 minute sessions.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I think you can still go for the 2".

I’m going to add to this question above; if you have a significant amount of room , length wise, in your tube, and your goal is girth expansion, could you pack the end of the tube with light cotton packing to eliminate the extra space?

I know that the packing will supply a soft stopper for your glans and will not hamper vacuum, but do you think that would focus the tissue expansion horizontally toward girth as we would expect?

I think you can get away with buying the 1.75” and that will be enough to take you up to 5.5” girth. Get the 9” length.

I’m 6.5” BPEL and 4.25” BG and 4.4” (up to 4.5” when I don’t pull foreskin down tightly - I’m uncut) MSG and up, so basically I have a skinny baseball bat - great stuff! Anyway according to gparent’s post I should get a cylinder with 1.5” diameter. As I am near the upper end of the scale though would I be able to get away with 1.75”? I want to do this right so if the answer is now then that’s fine, but because of the cost if I could get away with buying the 1.75” that would be great. And what length would I get 8” or 9”?

And if I bought the 1.5” diameter after I’d finished with it would that mean I would be at 4.75” EG? I just check on a calculator and 1.5” would mean a circumference of 4.71”. I’m guessing that when I wasn’t in the tube my erect girth would naturally be a rock hard 4.70”, or maybe I’m wrong. I’d appreciate answers from any experience pumpers but if gparent could answer that would be ace seeing as you started the thread.

Edit: forgot to say that I don’t really care to much about length; my goal is to increase girth hopefully at least up to 5”.

Thanks in advance,

I don’t know how much longitudinal force would be exerted by counterpressure of contacting the cotton packing. I don’t think that it would hurt, but I’m not sure that it would help either. My suspicion is that the force being exerted by the relative vacuum exceeds the longitudinal force of running into the cotton packing, and the vacuum is doing more good in that case.

I’ve heard the same argument made for not ordering too long a tube if your goal is girth. The argument goes, run your glans into the end of the tube, and your penis has nowhere to go but out in diameter. The problem with that is the risk of applying the vacuum with too much of a focus on the glans, which can lead to injury. The ‘soft stopper’ approach is probably safer in that regard.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

That’s kind of my thinking too. I guess we will find out.

Sorry if this question has been answered in this thread, but you are talking about erect base girth when trying to find the right size cylinder right?

It’s a good question, OME89. Yes, generally the reference is to erect base girth. Things get a little more complicated if your base girth is less than your midshaft or distal girth. Packing the cylinder midshaft or toward the glans when you have not packed at the base means that the vacuum force is not reaching the complete length of the shaft. Generally, you want to apply vacuum force to the entire length of the shaft from the base on out.

Lamp, it has been awhile since I browsed your stats. Very impressive my friend. I think my base and overall girth is already sparking some new growth from instituting pumping into my routine.

I’m looking at purchasing a pump soon to supplement my current PE routine.

I’m 6” BPEL x just shy of 5” base girth, which puts me at the lower end of a 8”x2” cylinder.

My question is, with me being in the lower end of this range, will it hinder length growth? I’m more concerned with gaining length than girth.

Start: BPEL: 5.25" EG: ~4.5"

Current: BPEL: ~ 6.75" MSEG: ~4.75" BG: 4.825" BPFSL: 7"

Initial Goal: NBPEL: 7" EG: 5" Long Term Goal: 7.5" x 5.25-5.50"

If you are going for length I would get the 8”X1.75”, or 9”X1.75”.

Could someone give me some advice.

I’ve now been into pumping for about 15 months. I use a 2 inch cylinder. My base girth is 5.8inch and mid-shaft it’s 5.5-5.6 inch. Besides the fact that I pack the cylinder sooner than I use to, my girth stats have not changed at all. Prior to pumping I’d been doing a jelqing routine for the previous 9 months and gained about 1/2 inch of length until I plateaued. Pumping may have added another 1/8 to 1/4 inch of length but no girth.

I’m considering buying a 2+1/4 inch cylinder and wondered if this might help?

For those interested, Pre PE I was 7.25 inch BPEL now 8 BPEL.
