Selecting Your Cylinder Size

Length is primarily what I am hoping for. The situation is I am currently 7.5 BPEL and 6 inch’s girth. My penis is quite even 6 inch girth in middle and near enough at base.

I want to gain length and maybe a little girth in the future but I know it is easier to gain length first and girth later so I have read. What I need to know is what size diameter tube would I need? length of tube needed is about 3 inches more than BPEL so I have read. Does the tube have to be larger diameter than my current diameter? I would not mind gaining a bit of girth but would like to concentrate on length. Is it slightly more comfortable with a larger diameter tube? How important is a pressure gauge on the pump?
I have looked at a few different types on the net but nothing I have seen has convinced me to exchange cash for. If someone could suggest a brand and and size that would best suit my needs. Not too expensive but good value I don’t mind spending on quality. The ideal goal of my PE career I think would be maximum 8.75 BPEL and 6.25 girth mid shaft girth. Anything bigger is not for me. I am much looking forward to my pumping adventure.

I know the above is a question is one that has probably never ever been asked before in this forum but your advice and patience would be much appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation, Mr Diesel.

I think you would be most comfortable and therefore get the best results in a 9”X2.25” cylinder. For top of the line quality you could go for a big name like lapdist or vacutech or pumptoys, but for a good pump at more reasonable prices look at picturebrite and make sure you get the pump with the red handles and gauge. It is item number P131.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

O’ great and powerful gprent, I seek your counsel!

I ordered a Velseal from PTS a few days ago. My measurements are 7.75" BPEL & 5.4" MS-EG and around 5.25" at the base. Traditional baseball bat. Mid-shaft, my erect diameter is right at 1.75".

I ordered a 10"x2" tube, which I think give me ample room to grow into, but I would really like to attempt packing a 1.75". I’VE JUST GOT TO SEE IT! I was tempted to order a 9"x2" to save the 20 bucks, but I went with your recommendation on the length. I figured it would be a waste of $100 if it was too short for me.

Do you think my bat will cut off the vacuum to the lower parts of my shaft? I’m thinking about working with the larger cylinder for a while to work up my base girth, and then getting the thinner tube to attempt packing it. Think it would be beneficial at all, or would it be more productive to just continue with the larger diameter?

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: After reading this post, I think I’m definitely going to order the smaller tube as well:

For me, there is nothing that special about packing a tube. The only thing I ever got from it was blisters on my head from all of the vacuum being concentrated there. And once you pack the tube, the proper thing to do is stage up to the next tube size for your next pump set after packing. So, you would pack a 1.75 in about 5 minutes and then be ready to stage up to your 2.0. I just don’t see you getting a lot of pump time in the 1.75, and that would be the waste of the money. But hey, if you want to see it, go for it.

Edit: If you do buy it, buy it from picturebrite where you can get it for $28. :)

That’s an excellent suggestion, and that’s probably just what I’ll do, if I decide to go through with it.

I’m trying to dekeratinize my glans, so blistering would be my worst enemy on that front. I’ll probably just stick with the larger tube.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your help (djrobins , gprent) I have ordered a pump cant wait for it to arrive.

Diesel.

Anyone know where I can get a 1.5” tube? I got a 1.75 with the electric pump from the pump guy’s website, and that loves to suck my poor little balls in! My EG is only 4.25.

Hi Moeman27. They’re a bit pricey, but check into vacutech or lapdist.

Howdy, I’m new to the forum, and I’ve been playing around with a cheap pump for a while. It was a 2.0” ID, and my EG is 4.8, so it wasn’t terribly comfortable. As it turns out, it’s true: I don’t care for the feeling of my nutsack going under the seal.

I decided to bite the bullet, and I got myself a proper tube. I got a 1.75” tube from boston pumps, and I can’t wait for it to arrive. I made my own pump from a bike pump, inverted, so I can’t tell pressure from a gauge. I just apply a very light amount, nothing that hurts, and let it ride for a while. If I wanted to get a pressure gauge, do you think I could find something suitable from an auto store, such as a pep boys here in the US?

Also, with my boston pump, I bought the male adaptor to connect it to a standard 3/8ths tube—anyone know the diameter of the connectors they use? Will this work?

.Can’t wait! Thanks for all of your help on the forum = )

My new cylinder arrived today, and my GOD it’s fantastic. Doesn’t hurt at all, and I’m already starting to comfortably pack the very bottom— so far, so good. That was just a quick 10 minute pump. Thanks guys!

If you want a gauge, I’m guessing the most cost effective option is to look at the brake bleeder and vacuum pump kit at Harbor Freight. They run deals all the time for well under $20 and the build quality is outstanding because it’s brass and steel. Search the HF website and you’ll see it there. If you were able to get a bike pump to work, you’ll have no trouble getting this hooked up. It was good enough for me to able to fine tune my workout to 4 hg max because when I pumped at 5 hg I got some minor donuts and blistering. For less than $20, it’s the best value PE device money you’ll ever spend.

Does anyone here have an opinion on the “classic” circular based cylinder vs. The “contoured” based cylinders?

One has a perfectly circular base and the other is flared out a bit.

Also, at 4.1” MSEG I see that I should go with the 1.5” cylinder. Am I looking at this correctly? Does base girth have any bearing on this. Will I out grow it too soon? Basically I want to know if I could save money by going with the 1.75”

I have the classic, and was also wondering how the other kind felt.

The 1.5 should be great for you. Here’s my thoughts on why—
I originally had a 2” dia for my 4.8” EG, and it was really uncomfortable. (It was also a terrible cylinder.) I went with the 1.75, which was recommended by that great chart gprent posted, and it was perfect. You’re right in the middle of the 1.5 suggestion, so I’d go with that.

I’ve just started pumping and found a 48mm (1.88”) diameter cylinder to big, so I’m waiting for a 38mm (1.5”) cylinder. My dick is just over 4.25” at the base and 4.4/5” mid-shaft up; the standard baseball bat shape. My concern is that as over the weeks my dick begins to expand to fill the tube, it will do so at the top first. Won’t this mean that there will be a loss of suction at the bottom of the tube, and therefore this will stop the base of the dick expanding, meaning it will not grow resulting in more of a baseball bat effect?

I know from my experiences that it’s the base of my penis that really starts to expand at first— it’s possible that it’ll start to become more regular in girth, rather than embellishing the baseball bat shape. Try pumping with warm water, by the way, to make everything expand a little more evenly (and faster!) Just don’t do that with an electric pump!
