Tips for going in SOFT?

Tips for going in SOFT?

I’m stealth and this summer I am getting NO TIME to consistently do my regular routine. (3 sets, 10 minutes a set, 2.5 to 4HG). gprent was very helpful in getting this streamlined to cut it to the bone timewise, but if I were to get privacy to do this ONCE a week, I would be really lucky.

So it looks like mostly manual PE for the next 4 months.

However, it seems like maybe I could do a maintenance routine of 10 minutes every other day in the shower.

Going in soft seems like it would be perfect for this, as my penis has "PE Anxiety" — sometimes it needs lots of loving attention and care to get an erection when it is time to do PE.

I have tried pumping soft twice. It was not good. The bottom third filled with blood, the middle third less blood, and the top did not. I looked like a traffic cone! There was also some really unpleasant achyness. I am assuming that I pumped up "to soon" even though I tried to do it gradually.

Any tips on this? Here’s one thing I found with a search:

Tiger Dave has taught a lot of men to pump.

“GOING IN
Insert your semi-erect cock into the cylinder and press the rim or gasket to your groin, twisting slightly to work the lube through your pubes and onto your skin. Don’t go into the tube fully erect – you won’t expand as easily. Let the pump slowly bring you up to full erection.
Withdraw some air with a short stroke on the pump. To begin, withdraw just enough that you barely feel a slight suction (about 1-2" Hg). Sit back and relax.”

Basically what’s the best and safest way to pump up an erection in the tube?

I guess I am looking for guidance and guidelines — "How do I know when/how to increase pressure?" Ex — 3 mins at 1HG, 2 mins at 2HG, etc?

Basically what’s the best and safest way to pump up an erection in the tube? What has worked for you?

I really appreciate any advice you have for me.

Sta-kool.

Whilst the ideal is to go into the pump erect. It is not absolutely necessary. The actual pumping will cause the penis to go erect.

You don’t say how long you have been doing the pumping, so it is difficult to asses what you should do. However, if you are relatively new to pumping, your penis will take up odd shapes first of all. (make sure it is not bent over in the tube, sometimes it sticks on one side and gets contorted. so don’t allow that to happen. just smack the tube to get it straight. apply lubricant if necessary to make it slide along the tube).

You must remember that the guidelines given here are OK for most people but some guys have problems You can try a little higher Hg but do it carefully and keep the time short. You may find that this helps. But whatever you do do NOT go above 5Hg. Preferably stay at 4 for a few minutes (5 max) , and see if that helps. But move up the Hg scale gradually - over some days.

If things don’t seem right - Or if you are doubtful. Reduce vacuum immediately

Do try to give a resume of what you have done, as that gives us more informatin to help you.

Hello Petitfaun — thanks for taking the time, and the tips so far. Here is my history:

— I have been pumping since late January/early February ‘08.

— I followed “Pumping 101” to build up time in the tube.

— I generally go in 80% erect or higher

— I worked up to 3 sets of 10 minutes, 3 or 4 times a week (this seemed to be a sweet spot for me, as I started gaining girth with this routine)

— I get a new erection between sets.

— I pump between 2.5 to 3.0HG, but have recently started doing the last five minutes of set 2 and 3 at 4.0HG (an excellent suggestion by gprent)

— I finish by edging for 10 or 15 minutes.

— I do warm-ups, warm-downs, and keep the cylinder wrapped in a heating bad.

— I am somewhat deconditioned now because of lack of privacy, down to only 2 sets, and just once a week. Some weeks no pumping at all! Privacy is getting worse.

— in general I seem to respond best to “light” PE, with rest days in between.

Let me know if I forgot something.

Hey Sta-kool.

Your routine seems quite adequate for the time being. There is no need to go over the top on the number of ecercises. As they all add up to time taken and you could find that after a while you need time for other things so start to cut back. -then possibly find you have left out an essential one. So Keep to you current schedule while you are making gains. then consider a chnge if things start to slow.

Apart from the problem that too many exercise done each session could have negative effects.

Good luck! and don’t hesitate to ask questions! Oh! and keep reading others posts, as they often contain vital information which you could add later.

Hello petitfaun — actually that is my current problem. Now that summer is here, there is no time that I am completely alone in the house. I have thought about it, and I just can’t de-stealth about pumping at this time.

So I don’t have the privacy to do my regular routine consistently. With prep and cleanup it takes about an hour. I really can’t do it unless I know nobody will be around for an hour and a half. This summer that may happen once a week, maybe once a month!

However, it is relatively easy for me to steal away to do a 30-40 minute manual routine when others are in the house. That will be my mainstay, and I am sort of “de-stealthed” on manual exercises.

It would also be relatively easy to do a single 10 minute session pump during my shower/bath time. I am thinking that would help maintain my conditioning so that if I do get an hour and a half of privacy I could do my regular pumping routine without injury.

The hang-up is that when I get ready to pump it may take as long as 10 minutes to get a decent erection. (Some kind of “PE Performance Anxiety” as this is not an issue under other circumstances)

So that is why I am asking about procedures and tips for going in soft.

Thanks again for your reply. Maybe I am making “going in soft” harder than it is. ;)

It seems I will just need to experiment with this to find what works best for me for going in without an erection.

I pump from completely flaccid sometimes. I’ve found the following to be helpful.

First, make sure you’re using some kind of lube so that as you expand, you ‘slide; within the tube as you expand, rather than sticking and folding over within the tube. Ouch!

Second, when pumping from flaccid, I put up just enough to achieve ‘capture’ - a good solid seal that is not easily dislodged. This may be as low as 1, 1.5 or 2 inHg. Pump up just a litle bit more than that - maybe half an inch HG. Now watch the gauge. When it drops a little, pump back up a little to maintain. Pump up just a little more (maybe another half an inch HG). Gradually, you’ll wind up in your target range. Take the time you need; take the time it takes, and if the time you have doesn’t give you enough time to make it up to your target range, that’s OK. What you did resulted in some stretching and expansion that was gentle and productive.

But then, as I recently said in another thread, I’m in the ‘coax growth out’ school, not the ‘force growth out’ school.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Lampwick — I know what you are talking about re the ‘coax out growth’ style of PE. I seem to respond much better to a lighter approach.

Thanks for these tips, that is very very helpful. This definitely gives me a starting point for my experimentation.

I remember you also talking about early AM sessions to “reinforce” and capture the benefits of morning wood. So some combination of that and pumping from flaccid ought to keep me in the game.

What do you guys think about for frequency of this single 10 minute session? Every day? or maybe better every other day? Should I try to do it on my manual PE days? (manual routine will be stretches and no more than 120 jelqs).

(Obviously I will need to see how my body responds.)

I think you answered your own question. Pick an approach, see how your body responds, and then adjust as needed. I guess I would lean toward letting your penis rest completely on a rest day, which would mean doing your pumping on a manual PE day. When you rest from manual PE, rest from pumping as well.

In a more practical sense, though, if you have limited time and/or limited privacy, get those ten minutes in when you can. Monitor how your body responds to see how that’s working for you. You might even do something like a day of manual PE, a little pumping the second day, and rest on the third day.

Lampwick — as always, thanks.

I’m on a decon break now, but when I come back I will give manual day/pumping day/rest day a go. Will report back on how it all works out.
