I think things are finally going to work out okay. I’ve tried EVOO and it worked. I’ve tried heavy applications of Astroglide in the tube with a heavy misting, and then let it all swish around inside to coat the entire cylinder. And that worked too. I may make a pumper yet! :chuckle:

Tomorrow I will take my 1 month measurements to see what has taken place. Keep you fingers crossed for a favorable outcome.

The thing that worries me about olive oil is that it can get gummy over time, and could gum things up where they would be hard to get clean again. If you cook with olive oil (yes, there are uses for olive oil other than PE), check out the top of the bottle where the cap screws on and see if there isn’t a gummy residue there. I’ve never gotten that kind of gummy and difficult to clean residue from water based lube or mineral oil

Invest a couple bucks in Dawn Ultra dish washing detergent. It dissolves fats and oils very effectively.

what exactly does lubing the inside of the tube do? I’m not following why you need to lube the inside of the tube exactly..sorry if that sounds dumb but I don’t quite see why you need to lube all the way up on the sides of the tube…..

That is so true about Olive Oil. I didn’t see it at first, but did later. I stopped using it and have now switched over to KY Ultra Gel which is much “thinner” than the regular KY Gel. It is easy to pour a bit around the cylinder and let it run down the sides, as Thunder suggested. “Swish it around” like a fine wine to coat the cylinder. I was lucky and “won” 6 bottles (5oz. size), on eBay for $4.99 plus $4.35 s/h. A real bargain!

That’s how I got all of the “gunky” olive oil cleaned out. If it’s good enough for cleaning oil coated birds, it’s good enought to clean my cylinder. IT WORKS!

You don’t have to lube the entire cylinder, just up to approximately the point where your dick reaches. Your dick will do the rest. Lubing the cylinder helps your dick “slip along” with no “dry” snags!

You may not need to lube all the way up. However, you either need a well lubricated penis or you need to lubricate the inside of the tube at least as far as you think you’ll expand within the tube.

As your penis expands in the tube, you want it to slide inside the tube rather than sticking to the inside wall of the tube. This promotes good expansion - if you’re going to go to the effort of pumping, you want to get the maximum benefit from the experience, don’t you?

Also, it is painful if your penis sticks to the wall of the cylinder and your penis continues to expand. It can actually start to fold over on itself. Ouch!

Avocet has done a great job describing the benefits of PE for dealing with ED. I suspect there are a lot of guys who are satisfied with the size of their unit, if only it would work more dependably. So they ignore PE, thinking it’s only for guys who want to increase girth and length. As I posted recently, Urologist opinion on PE for ED; red blister care, a urologist told me that he regularly has prostate surgery patients use a vacuum pump for exactly the same basic reasons Avocet gives—to simply keep the penis primed and in shape when it isn’t getting it’s normal "work out" of spontaneous and/or nocturnal erections.

Finding this thread by avocet8 some time ago completely changed everything for me. I’m not completely back to a normal rock hard erection, but I’m well on the way. I will always be grateful to avocet8.

I have tried to be faithful to my PEing commitment and have enjoyed the gains I’ve obtained. I have to be honest and say that since I was not able to obtain a full erection before beginning vacuum pumping, my EL and EG measurements only reflected the erections possible at the time

Truthfully, I was more interested in correcting my ED, and was only looking for the return of my REM and morning erections. And, hopefully, better regular erections down the road. But, if gains in length and girth were obtained at the same time, then that would only be a plus.

But, as my erections have improved, the measurements only confirm the fact that my erections have become stronger, therefore, showing a gain in length and girth.

avocet8 I hope that I will someday have the opportunity to thank you in person.

I’ve been using Aloe Vera gel during my pumping routine, it is extremely slick and cleans out of the tube with just mild soap and water. Plus the aloe vera is good for minor skin irritations, is available in most stores and doesn’t cost an arm an a leg.

Thanks for the reminder, Highrise. I usually use a KY lube (gel or glycerine-base), but maybe I should try aloe vera again once my blister heals up. Apart from the lengthy discussion in this thread about lubing for pumping, I’m wondering who else can corroborate avocet’s original posting. Any others have success using pumping to deal with ED? If size increase is a side effect, that’s great. But I wonder what routines/methods have helped erections. The whole point is to have a unit you can use, right? So let’s hear your experience.

Don’t limit yourself to pumping. If you’re willing to expand your horizons just a bit, jelqing works very well with pumping.

One of the early signs of success that members have had with the Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine is better erectile quality. Members report better erections even before they report size increases. PE is worth it for that alone.
