Why The Limit On Pumping?

Why The Limit On Pumping?

Hey everyone I couldn’t find a decent answer to this question so thought I’d ask, I recently bought a x30 pump & the general rule is to do 10-15 mins per day max but I don’t understand why because when it comes to other PE exercises example hanging or all day stretcher the consensus is the more time the better results so why is pumping any different? I understand you get some fluid retention & the doughnut effect but they’re not harmful & only temporary right? I’ve been using mine the recommended time but yesterday I thought I’d try something different I did 3x 10min sets at lower pressure than usual & I got far better expansion I did get the doughnut effect more but that disappeared fairly quickly so unless I can work out why I can’t do that I’ll keep doing it maybe even for longer, thanks guys.

I am wondering the same thing. Last night I must have overdid it a bit. Felt like I was sucking in the veins and ligaments too. Hurt a bit.

Well, I’m not sure if the 10-15 min is a requirement. I do about 15 min but I also do exercises before it (stretches and jelqs). In total I do about 45 minutes. I had a stall in my progress about 6 weeks ago and then doing the pumping with the other exercises enabled me to start growing again. So, if you wanna do more… try some other exercises.

There is no hard and fast limit for everyone in every situation. One person may be able to tolerate longer pumps or higher pressures, likewise an individual will probably be able to tolerate different levels of pressure and time at different points in his PE career - generally more of each as he PE’s consistently over weeks, months, and years.

I would say you can pump as long as you want (and longer is going to be better) as long as you follow some rules:

1) DON’T pump to the point of extreme edema or any blistering
2) DON’T pump past the point where you can still easily achieve an erection
3) DON’T pump to the point where you cannot recover by your next pumping session
4) add session time slowly and incrementally

And one extra rule regarding pressure

5) DON’T pump to a pressure which causes any kind of pain

Roots

Thanks for the reply I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing I guess.

I’ve found adding constant heat reduces the likelyhood of the above.

You can pump longer but at low pressures. Does your pump have a gauge? Time without intensity doesn’ mean much.

in my sporadic pumping experience, I prefer to be erect as possible, otherwise it seems only to pull at the skin and result in additional fluid buildup. At some point my EQ is gone and additional time/sets don’t seem to be all that helpful.

Agreed! A gauge is essential.

For me, I find that I can avoid excess edema (doughnut) if I keep the vacuum below 5 in/hg and do not exceed 20 minutes under vacuum. When I started pumping, I did a twenty minute session at night and a twenty minute session in the morning. However, I did break up the sessions with a 2 minute jelqing routine.

I have a hydromax so nah no gauge I’ve just been pumping to the point where it’s uncomfortable but not painful

Put it in the junk then you are wasting your time.

How so? A lot of people use the hydromax & swear by it, I think putting it in the junk category just because it doesn’t have a gauge is a big call it still provides vacuum so will work
