So this is the first that I have seen reported on the restorex trial extending out to 6 months. Clearly the sample size is still small. What is revealed is that the length gains were most pronounced in the first 3 months and then the rate of gain fell off for the next 3 months. From 3 to 6 months .5cm was observed on the small sample size. I think it is interesting because the protocol is for only 30 to 90 minutes a day.
Inadvertently there is confirmation of the anecdotal newbie gains that are often cited here, as their research confirms in a statistically significant manner that there are initial length gains in the 1.85-1.95 cm range.
The other thing that is for me being confirmed is that there is a tension-load/duration relationship regarding traction, as the restorex device design is able to deliver a higher level of traction than a traditional extender.
What I really want to see in the research is what is revealed post - newbie gains, regarding outcomes for the various durations. I’d imagine that we won’t see that data till next year though.
The other thing I want to see is what is the observed rate of gain past 6 months. Does the .5cm/3months hold or does it fall off.
I also want to see if the .5cm /3months is the actual number once the sample size becomes statistically significant.
I think this is really cool because we’ve never seen this kind of controlled research before.
