UCBCN's Log

Have you done any manual PE exercises before starting this hanging routine? I had some twinges in the base after starting manuals for the first time, they seemed to dissipate after the first few weeks.

What is the plan for total load come next session?

Why do the newbies get to have all the gains?

As a favor, I ask that you share your favorites.

Goal: 21x15cm

Did manuals on and off many years ago. Never tracked anything so this is my first proper attempt at PE.

Will be doing next session shortly, and I’m debating doing slightly lighter. My pelvic floor muscles and base/shaft have felt crazy fatigued all day so I honestly think I overdid it for myself in the first session. Need to have a think about it. Seeing this week as conditioning anyway so I’m not in a rush. It’s not a bad sign really, means I can min-max even lighter.

Thanks for checking in.

Cycle 1 | Week 1 | 11th June
(first session was the 10th*)

10 m @ 0.34 kg (cold)
40 m @ 0.38 kg (heat)
10 m @ 0.42 kg (cool-down)

Took me a good 15-20m to set up. It’ll take me all week to get used to this, probably.
I focused on keeping the pelvic floor relaxed, as I think I was subconsciously activating the muscles last time, which led to a lot of fatigue and aching the next day (uncomfortable). I had to do pelvic floor stretches and massaging during the day, which helped. Will be doing the next strain eval on Friday. I had to move the heat down to low as my current heat protection is poor and was getting random hot areas. No sharp twinges or other negative PI’s. Will use this as my starting point.

12th June

10 m @ 0.34 kg (cold)
40 m @ 0.38 kg (heat)
10 m @ 0.42 kg (cool-down)

Comfy hang. Heat protection issue sorted and back up to high heat. Moved down to the smallest cup this time. Didn’t have enough sleeves to increase shaft girth and previous technique was too inconsistent. Might have to buy another sleeve from TM so I can go back up. Still get an odd sensation here and there but nothing painful. In no rush to add weight.

13th June
(strain eval tomorrow)

10 m @ 0.34 kg (cold)
40 m @ 0.38 kg (heat)
10 m @ 0.42 kg (cool-down)

Now doing 3 minutes of pelvic floor stretches daily. Feeling conditioned, and expecting strain to be low tomorrow. Need to knock the vac cup more before starting, had to pause the session and remove medium-sized bubble.

14th June

Pre BPSFL: 17.65
Post BPSFL: 17.85
Strain: 1.13%
Cycle Strain: 2.59%

10m @ 0.34kg (cold)
40m @ 0.38kg (heat)
10m @ 0.42kg (cool-down)

Noticed a tiny red bump on the side of the glans so I want to move back up to the medium cup as soon as possible (ordered another sleeve from TM).
Happy to see my pre up 2.5mm this week on such a light load + my post just over 7" :)
Going to measure strain on Mondays and Fridays now.
Great fatigue at base + shaft all week. Will keep the load the same for another week.

Back at it on Monday.

15th & 16th June [weekend]

• Maintained 95-100% EQ for around an hour total + edging (chemically assisted).

• Calculated that ~18.79cm post-BPSFL is the measurement for maximum cycle strain (~8%) and I should consider wrapping up this first cycle around there. We’ll see how long that takes.

• The tiny red bump is healing well (almost gone).

• Vaseline arriving tomorrow. Going to test the lotion/lather technique used by BD. The water trick is a ball-ache honestly (skill issue).

• Bumping up pelvic floor treatment to about 5-10m daily.

• Considering L-citrulline.

Realised I initially measured my BPEL standing on my bed vs BPSFL always on the floor (duh). After many BPSFL measurements today in these two locations, I found standing on the bed to result in a slight tilt of the pelvis resulting in a +1mm reading compared to the floor every time.

Therefore 6.73" is my official starting BPEL, Not 6.77". Will see if I can ask a mod to help me change that :)

looks like a great routine UCBCN! May the gains be with you!

Thanks!

Cycle 1 | Week 2 | 17th June

Pre BPSFL: 17.6
Post BPSFL: 17.8
Strain: 1.14%

10m @ 0.34kg (cold)
45m @ 0.38kg (heat) (+5m)
15m @ 0.42kg (cool-down) (+5m)

Wanted at least a 15m cooldown.
My power bank is 2-3x stronger output than my laptop so used it instead. Started to get too hot around the 45m mark.
Think I’ll add weight next session. Does feel light.

So after multiple pre measurements today… 17.80cm

I am going to shift my focus to pre-measurements and use post to get an idea of cycle strain occasionally. I will probably check pre most days.

The vaseline now makes it impossible to get an adequate grip after the session. Meaning my strain measurements will likely be lower than reality.

5.5 said pre-measurements are what matter.

Keeping the weight the same until pre-measurements stagnate for 2–3 days.

Pre up 4mm since the 10th.

Total PPM so far: 310

Your pre-measurements are your "real" measurements. However, they’re strongly connected to erection quality. In my case, differences in EQ (I have a moderate case of erectile dysfunction) are big enough that my pre-workout measurements vary as much as half an inch from day to day. I can measure and record the numbers, but they’re not particularly useful for measuring gains. So I measure post-workout, with a cock ring to help maintain the erection. I get repeatable measurements within 1/16" that way, so that’s what I use for tracking gains.

TL;DR: the method you use isn’t as important as its repeatability. If you have too much "noise" in your data, it’s hard to tell if you’re making progress.

Hi Andy,

Worth noting that my pre and post-measurements are referring to BPSFL not BPEL so I’m wondering if you misread something?

18th June

Pre BPSFL: 17.80

10m @ 0.34kg (cold)
45m @ 0.38kg (heat)
15m @ 0.42kg (cool-down)
