Nine progress thread

Update

So here’s an update of the past few weeks..

Two weeks ago I stopped jelqing for the week so I spent the whole week hanging and extending (3 sets of 30 minutes at 5 lbs, and the rest of the time I extended [~3-4 hours per day]). The week after that I took 4 days off. Currently I am gradually starting to do jelqing stuff again (1-2 sessions at 10 minutes per day, 1 on 1 off). I have also reduced the hanging time and increased the extender time. I really want to optimize/get better at wearing the extender to achieve the maximum results, that’s why I’ve gradually weaned myself into using an extender more often.

GAINS UPDATE!

So last time I didn’t post my BPSFL updates but I measured that recently and made some gains so..

Start: 220mm BPFSL (8.66”)
Current: 225mm BPSFL (8.86”)

I can’t wait for the day when I see the BPSFL reach 23!

Week update

So as I have mentioned, I was adapting my routine the past month or so depending on how my dick was responding and I have came up with a routine that I think is best for now that I am going to stick with for at least 4 weeks and see how the results go.

CURRENT STATS:
BPEL: 215mm
MSEG: 145mm
BPSFL: 225mm (maybe 228?)

My MSEG went down since my last measurement, and I noticed that after my last week off it was measuring at only about 143mm before I measured it again recently. Girth has always been tricky for me and I feel the temporary 2 day swelling from jelqing exercises kinda messes with consistent measurements. Regardless, I am more interested in my BPSFL increases since that is the most consistent measurement in terms of gains IMO. Also, I feel that as my length increases, perhaps my girth will just follow from doing minor jelqing while performing mostly length exercises.

CURRENT ROUTINE FOR THE NEXT 4 WEEKS:

Morning routine:
Wake up
Hang 5 lbs for 30 mins
Wet jelq for 10 mins
Gym for 45-60 mins
Wet jelq 10 mins

Evening routine: (Primarily extender)
Wear extender for 4 hours
Wet jelq 10 mins
Wear extender until I want to go to bed (maybe 1-2 hours)
Maybe wet jelq for 10 mins before going to bed

I will probably be able to do this ~4-5 days a week, but will try and do it as much as possible. I have been doing this routine for the past 7 days consecutively (easy work week).

COMMENTS ON EXTENDER
I am really starting to appreciate the extender. Not only is it 10x more comfortable than hanging, I really like the flexibility of being able to adjust my tension while wearing it (therefore I feel like the chance of injury is less). Also there are scientific studies published with them, and it is not as immobilizing as hanging, although I do not venture much past where I live with it on in fear that I would need to rush home if it slips off (hasn’t happened yet, fingers crossed)

Also I am finding that as I am wearing it, I’ll adjust the tension to where I like it (the first line of tension), and as time goes on, I have to adjust the length of the extender to maintain the same tension using the turny knobs at the base. So in my view it is more technical than hanging (where in hanging you strap it on and sit there and don’t adjust anything). Whereas in wearing an extender, I am constantly increasing the length of the extender as time goes on, keeping it at the same line of tension.

Also, the reason I chose 4 hours to wear it at night was because of a study I read with patients using them. The article is titled: A pilot phase-II prospective study to test the ‘efficacy’ and tolerability of a penile-extender device in the treatment of ‘short penis’ They said a minimum of 4 hours, but preferably 6. Here is the text from the article:

“Patients were requested to wear the device preferably for 6 h (and at least 4 h) daily, and for an optimum duration of 6 months, according to the manufacturer’s suggestions [12]. “

Results from the study:

Stretched penis average gains (in cm)
Baseline to 30 days: 0.94 (0.62–1.26)
30 days to 90 days: 0.44 (0.05–0.82)
90 days to 120 days: 0.38 (0.02–0.73)
120 days to 360 days: 0.06 (−0.10–0.23

So it looks like wearing the extender after 6 months doesn’t really help, or else the patients stopped using them as frequently, or as instructed?

Misternine

I think the phenomenon of gains from extenders flattening out over time is a quite natural phenomenon.

I naively suppose the participants of the study used the extenders as requested and with constant traction force. So the results show that for each participant there seems to be a maximum of gains which is possible to achieve. I call this the biological limit of a method. Simply said, after a certain time, every penis ligament and tunica simply has reached a stable state where it doesn’t give in anymore.

In my view, this is a kind of proof that the break and change of methods in PE is important. I have this experience from athletic training that after a certain time a training routine seems to be “exhausted” and another, often quite different, method allows to get back to the zone of progress.

To piggyback off of Richard, the crux of any method is that it continues to effect a controlled trauma on the penis. In essence, such a trauma has to be controllable enough to not cause significant real damage but potent enough to cause enough damage to trigger the microtears and traction effects to grow.

Said controllable trauma obviously is going to be adjusted to, by the body, because the body evolves to surmount any kind of pain or trauma type stimuli. Extenders, having finite spring tensions, will hit a wall of gains being exhausted if no deconditioning occurs as the springs are at a static maximum level of force they put out. The body can overcome that level of force in a certain time span. Gains, then stop.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

I wonder with such a huge bpfsl (almost 9”) how long are you stretching on the extender and how much tension .you had to order some extra rods

Of course everyone reacts different to extender, I only started gaining with mine when I started stretching above bpfsl , which for me its easy. (high tension/short sets)

I know some people that stretches below bpel (low tension/high hours) and get good results too.

IMO wearing it at high tension for short sets is almost equivalent to hanging. I’ve been reading about ‘creep’ and ‘stress relaxation’ methods of stretching tissue (see: http://www.me.u mn.edu/labs/com … description.pdf )

I don’t know if I fully understand it yet, but to me hanging or high tension/short set extender wearing is more of a creep method. Whereas low tension/high hours is more of a ‘stress relaxation’ (I.e. Using constant strain, see 1.2 in the link) method in the immediate sense during the PE session. Overtime however, the high tension/short sets will result in relaxation and growth. I feel like it is a stress relaxation method since over time, the tension on the extender decreases as I am wearing it (thus the relaxation part of the curve, see figure 5 left graph). If I notice that it is not at the line of tension I like, I increase the length using the turny knobs, and usually in about 15-30 minutes, I need to adjust it again. Eventually it won’t change over time and I think this is when I have achieved the max stress I can apply to my dick. (Maybe then it turns from a stress relaxation method into a creep method?)

I don’t know what method is best, or if there really is a difference, but I’m gonna stick to the low tension/high hour for the month and see what happens.

Also I never had to order more rods and currently I use the 3”, 0.5” and 0.25” along with the rod that has the piston. I don’t think I’ll need more rods because I feel like if I attached all the rods I could probably extend up to a foot which would take forever and a decade.

Currently when wearing it I’m at 215mm (usually I get just to my BPEL while wearing it, any more and I start to experience slippage and/or pain). However, I don’t care at all how long it is while in the extender, only how much tension there is.

Weekly Update

So I have removed using a hanger all together from my routine while I am focusing on using the extender as my primary length exercise. I did this because while wearing the hanger for 5 minutes after an extender session my dick felt ‘weak’ in the best way to describe it (no pain). I felt like I was pushing it to hard and didn’t want to test the waters resulting in injury. So I decided to not hang anymore and read up on using an extender and hanger and apparently it is not a good idea to combo it. I guess maybe the extender weakens it and then the sudden force of using a hanger on it is probably an injury waiting to happen in my head.

Therefore my morning routine is just a longer wet jelq session for ~40 minutes. I probably really only get 20-30 minutes of actual jelqing in, rest of the time is edging or taking a break. I am also only doing extremely basic wet jelqs with minor to moderate pressure. My evening routine is the same as mentioned in my last update.

EXTENDER EXPERIENCE UPDATES
I have managed to get 4+ hours each day in the extender last week. Something I have noticed while wearing the extender is that I can now use it at more tension as time progresses. Before I could barely get it past the first line without any pain and/or slippage, now I can wear it comfortably about 1/3 of the way past the first line going to the second line. Maybe this is because I now have a better wrap resulting in a better/more comfortable grip than before? (although after starting to use the wrap I use now, I still couldn’t get past the first line that much and/or didn’t try) Or maybe it could be due to my dick building up resistance to lighter tensions as I continue to wear it?

My dick adapts very fast to new tension and gains are usually correlated with tension/bar increases.

I never gained with low tension or below bpel stretching. I feel like manuals (rotate stretching) helps with gains since extender use is almsot unidirectional, in my case always straight up or slighty to the side since I use it while on computer.

Jelqing is also very good and I believe it helps after a day of extending since it fills the stretched issues with new blood and help repair and grow.

Comments on gains:
YES! I finally hit 23cm in BPSFL!!! It seems that my BPEL and BPSFL are correlating pretty well with one another, I always seem to be 1 cm shorter in BPEL compared to BPSFL. Therefore I just need to set my goal to 24cm BPSFL which hopefully will end up with me being 23cm BPEL! Also, as a note to self, I am not including the ~2mm at the end of the ruler in the measurements. Also, the NBPEL is measured from the visible part from the side of my dick and not birds eye view.

I’m back at 147mm in MSEG, I believe that if I quit jelqing though that it would fall back to 143mm. I am hoping by the end of summer I can solidly see that it is over 150mm, that way I’ll feel more comfortable that when I stop jelqing, I will have some permanent girth gains.

COMMENTS ON EXTENDER
So I have been able to wear the extender for ~3-4 hours per day this past week. I had to switch from wearing the noose style strap to wearing the comfort strap. I personally didn’t like the comfort strap because of the bulkiness that it adds, making it nearly impossible to be anywhere where you might run into someone. However, I had to switch because the noose style strap caused too much pinching and actually cracked some skin just below the glands. The cracked skin can make it be pretty painful when trying to wear the extender or edge, but it’s just a minor skin injury that is ~90% healed.

From wearing the comfort strap though I have started to notice that ‘head swell’ that I’ve read about before but never experienced while wearing the noose style strap. I don’t know if it will help with gains (I doubt it), but I think it is helping me stay strapped in so that’s a positive!

Weekly update

Nothing much to report. I managed to keep 4+ hours per day with the extender each day. Also, those 4+ hours have been consecutive hours with 5-15 minute breaks in between taking it off and putting it back on. I don’t know if it matters or not, but I think that the consecutive time is important in loosening the penis tension over 4 hours, rather than doing 1-2 hours, then wait 6-8 hours and let the relaxation wear off, and then go again for 1-2 hours.

Also, I gave up jelqing at the end of my extender sessions. I figured the extra extender time is more beneficial than jelqing before going to bed (also it is easier). However, I do try to edge for 2-5 mins after extending to try push the erect state to reach the extended state after the sessions at night.

SUPPLEMENT UPDATE
So I am not taking any supplements except the ZMA before going to bed. I really think that the ZMA is helping with recovery and gains. I feel like the nights I forget to take it the gains I see the day prior aren’t there the next morning. Whereas when I take it consistently I see consistent gains.

I also take protein powder right after my weightlifting/cardio workouts in the morning but I don’t consider protein powder a supplement.

Weekly Update

Again not much to report.

I have been keeping weekly measurements and putting them in an excel spreadsheet that I will upload perhaps at the end of the month. I am seeing consistent gains so that is good. This weekend I’ve also (1) switched back to using the noose style strap, I think it is much better at getting a secure attachment into the device for optimal traction. However the trade-off is the pinching that happens sometimes which for me previously has lead to cracked skin where it was attached. I’m hoping that as I play around with wraps that it won’t happen again this time.

The other thing I’ve done this weekend is increased the extender rod length by 1/4”. I’ve done this twice now and personally what works best for me in transitioning to a new extender length is using the twisty turn knobs at the base for increasing the length at first. Then during the extending sessions as I am adjusting the knobs to maintain the tension, I find that eventually the screw things that are attached to the base attachment are basically about to fall out and the distance from the piston to the knob is also pretty far. Basically I have maxed out the amount I can use the turn knobs so I have to increase the rod length. I remember watching a video once where they said to add length once you can see the threads of the screws at the base when turning the knobs. That did not work for me when I tried it. It caused too much pain and discomfort when I increased the length, which I think resulted in the cracked skin I saw earlier. This time it took about 4-6 weeks to add a new rod to increase the length of the extender.

So I got a new computer recently and I forgot the password to my old account and the e-mail address I used to create it with. So unfortunately I had to make a new account. Anyways..

COMMENTS ON GAINS:
I finally hit 9” NBPEL and taking into consideration the ~3mm that isn’t counted at the end of the ruler would put me at ~9.1 BPEL. I am a bit astonished at the gains I have made with the extender. However, I have been tracking my weekly measurements with BPEL and BPFSL every week and logging it into excel and comparing it to the average gains from the study I had mentioned previously. I will try to make a decent excel graph out of it and post it in this thread. However, so far my measurements are nearly identical to the pace with the higher range of gainers from that study.

I was beginning to think that I was tricking myself by measurement error, however I am more prone to believe that the gains are real. As I mentioned in my first post one of my goals was to have my dick reach above my belly button standing up (which it did not do before PE, and barely reached the bottom of it), but now it consistently is over my belly button. So regardless of what the ruler says, the first milestone has been reached.

COMMENTS ON EXTENDER:
I have been putting a lot of hours into the extender each day the past month, with nearly 4+ hours every day ranging from 4-9 hours and probably averaging 5.5 hours. I don’t know how sustainable those hours will be going forward looking at my schedule, but I will try to get the hours in.

NEW GOALS:
So my new goal is to hit 240mm (9.45”) BPEL which will probably have me at 250-252mm BPSFL using the extender. Then I will likely switch to a maintenance routine for length and gradually move into a more intensive girth focused routine. However, if my extender gains begin to stall, then I will likely switch up my routine but I have not decided what that will be. I think it’s also good to have a body oriented goal (I.e. Reach my belly button). So I have to come up with a new one for that too.

So here is the chart I was mentioning in my last post. The blue lines are the projected lines for growth based off the study and what I have seen so far this past month, so hopefully I maintain that rate!
