Let me start this off with a Thank You to this community and the sheer level of dedication the members have to spread all of this valuable information, and for free no less! Let me also say that I never thought that I would post here. Not because I didn’t want to give back, I just assumed I would’ve had nothing of real substance to add. I assumed that I would make an account expressly for lurking, in an effort to see and track the posts I found valuable. That is, apparently, not the case. The community here and the practices shared have had an amazing impact already, the workouts are amazing and incredibly useful, but the mindsets shared and the importance of accepting who you are, really make this community shine. Even outside of PE, this place is an absolute goldmine.

Anyway, I’ve been doing PE workouts for a week. Literally a week. I am one of those people who gets into a subject, then promptly reads every single bit of literature I can possibly get my hands on as soon as possible. A week before I even started I had read the entire wiki on a particular r/, which quickly lead me to begin reading dozens of posts here at Thunder’s. In that time, since beginning my workouts, my member has never been better. EQ is improving already, I am beginning to notice the effect of Kegels, I’ve found a verrrrry slight gain already, and everything is looking up! By far most importantly for me: for the first time in a long time, today I had actual morning wood. A real rager. A real I-should-really-do-something-about-this kinda morning wood. I cannot remember the last time I woke up to a tall standing member. I cannot believe how quickly even the newbie routine has positively affected me.

Beyond physical gains, the nutritional advice given has me feeling notably better, I dropped a bit of carbs and my energy levels have started to mellow out a bit, I’ve been avoiding caffeine which seemed to be the single largest factor personally. I’m really starting to feel good.

Mentally, I am supremely excited about the future. I haven’t had a goal I was this passionate about in a little while and to have something to pour my energy into is nice. All around, I feel amazing.

As for my actual workout so far: I’ve just been following the newbie routine here at Thunder’s, but I find I subscribe to the “time under tension” method that has been posted around here, considering I have a bit of background in the gym and I know my body responds very well to those kinds of exercises I’ll keep to this for at least the first few months. So, rather than 200, 3-second jelqs, I just jelq for about 15-20 minutes at a very slow pace. I’d like to experiment in later workouts with soft clamping (cock rings and so on) and perhaps some very mild hanging (a few of golf weights). If I find I have the resources/time/privacy/endurance/etc (read: if the stars align) to practice with US, ADS, Clamping, and maybe even priapism I would love to experiment with those, but they are far from a priority.

I believe I was rather blessed with my starting measurements being to the tune of BPEL 6.8” and EG 5”, so I don’t plan on going very much farther. I just happen to be 6’+ tall, ~210lb, with long legs; so 6” NBPEL doesn’t look so impressive compared to my frame, at least to me.

My short term goals, as in perhaps a year from now: 7.5” BPEL and 5.25” EG. I am more interested in girth than length. Additionally, it seems I am naturally inclined to have a slight bat shape to my member so moving forward I will be focusing on base shaft girth.

Long story short, PE has given me an excuse to really do all the healthy things I’ve been putting off for a litany of dumb excuses, from eating right to not sitting on my computer all day. Once again, thank you Thunder’s Place.

Update 1, 8-24-2020

Been reading even more here, lots about recovery, and Xeno’s tale has become a fast favorite. Cam’s newbie routine has some great points to it, along with the “Linear Newbie Routine” and I’m going to incorporate the slow ramping up going forward and pull back my current routine. According to a rather large post here, losing any kind of EQ through PE is an indicator of overtraining, so it seems I’ve been slightly ambitious. Newbie mistakes, I’m just glad I didn’t go too far. Haven’t lost any gains, just going to play it even more safe moving forward. Xeno’s thoughts on gradual stress increases in response to the expected workload that the penis will be able to handle based on personal PI’s is simply genius. Additionally, because of the idea of stretched recovery I’ve been practicing wrapping and collecting resources to build some kind of mild stealth ADS. I cannot wait to create enough of a baseline to apply these techniques. Xeno’s IPR cycles were actually the impetus for my heavy consideration of recovery. Since then I’ve been trying to optimize recovery during recovery days. L-Citrulline and Omega 3’s have been added into the diet again.

Since I am a “New Member” I am not allowed to post in.. Well basically anywhere but here and the Basics forums so I’ll most likely be posting this idea again in its own thread in the future: recovery techniques, specifically: Hot/Cold therapy, but with specific time ratios (1:3 or 1:4) and Sex.

With the Hot/Cold, I have heard somewhere that doing H/C with a ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 is ideal to promote recovery. I hope that I’ll find the source for this before I post it. Secondly, I wonder if full-body immersion would be more useful then it being only applied to the penis. Considering that some here at thunders occasionally participate in H/C, some only do cold when absolutely necessary, and some do so religiously, I’d tend to believe that while there is some merit it is rather inconvenient and possibly even scary for some.

Sex, I believe, might be a sort of active recovery technique. By that, I mean longer sessions, not quickie type encounters. Since night and morning wood is considered a great PI I figure erections would promote healing/be indicative of healing taking place, and since an erection is just a large amount of blood flowing through the penis it shouldn’t really be a negative thing. I seem to recall something called PERT? Occurring after a “manual” ejaculation being a possibly negative thing for PE, but I cannot say either way. The reason this occurred to me, of course, is because after a very long session today I was hanging lower and thicker than I have been.. Well, ever. I believe that this is a combination of PEing for the last few weeks and a prolonged erection. Maybe there is some merit to this, and I’ll be reporting tomorrow morning the state of my member. Before the session I would call my EQ a decent 7/10, during was an easy 9/10. I didn’t exactly have time to measure during but my measurements are BPEL: 7” - EG: 5”.

Thanks, Patrik. I feel like I’m slowly grasping PE and Thunder’s in general now. Feels sorta like “wide a puddle, deep as an ocean” for while jelqing and stretching a bit every day works, there is an endless stream of things to learn :)

Update 1.5, 8-25-2020

Alright, so anecdotally sex seems to be at the very least a neutral activity in terms of recovery. Measuring again today, I’ve found I have a slightly better EQ, closer to an 8/10 than a 7/10. Most likely this is just due to the rest days I took over this weekend and has little to do with the activity. As far as measurements go, I am definitely closer to a BPEL of 7.15”. Ultimately, again, these are small improvements (for a newbie) and more likely user error/inconsistency than marked, consistent, and permanent improvement. I wonder if there is an actual mechanism that changes when humans have sex vs masturbate, particularly the possible hormonal effect that it could have. Yet another thing to look into :) . Should there not be I am seriously considering edging for 2hrs+ once a week followed by an immediate rest day (which is what happened this time around, some minor gland pains that I suspect to be skin issues related to lack of lube prevented a workout today, just to be safe) to see if there is an effect on recovery.

Also, I’d like to correct myself. Or at least give some explanation for why I’ve apparently jumped nearly 0.4” in 20 days. I feel as though the first ~0.2” most likely came from improved EQ from the first week or so, while the remaining ~0.15” actually came from growth. Gotta say I’m ecstatic regardless. Some part of me is disappointed that I seemingly can’t keep pace with the legends of the forums like Bib and Xeno, but I’ll definitely take not being in the camp of losing length. Interestingly, I’ve made no girth gains whatsoever. I figure that will come with time.

I’ve also finally committed my routine to paper, and I must say it is much more conservative than I thought it would be: 2 days on, 1 off. 5 min warmup, 5 min manual stretch, 10 min jelq, 5min warm down, 5 min rest, followed by a few cycles of 2 min cold 6-8 minute hot. Once I manage to cobble together some kind of ADS I’d like to use that according to Xeno’s IPR protocol. I figure that the R might not be necessary for the first few months but I must say I’ve fallen entirely in love with the Wave style training. My goal moving forward is to either not lose any EQ at the end of the week or be within 1-2 days rest of baseline EQ.

One final thought to end with; I feel as though I sound extremely proper, but only when I am talking about my penis.. It’s strange.

Maybe it was some combination of rest, this weekend, the H/C, and newbie gains all came together into this perfect storm of gains. Or maybe it was simply a post-workout pump or some combination of both. Either way, I’ll be doing my best to cement these gains as well as I can with H/C and a bit of traction wrapping perhaps. Tomorrow is a recovery day so I should most probably do a wrap then.

Newbie gains!! The same thing happened to me when i started. I used to check dozen times because i couldn’t believe it and i thought that i have to measure wrong.

Isn’t it amazing? All of our lives we are taught that is impossible to increase the size of the penis but this thing works.

I’m rather sure I was reading one of your threads and I believe you mentioned big gains only after a month or so into your PE career, and because of that part of me was hoping the same would happen :woot2: I want to yell from the rooftops!

Post #7, 3rd paragraph :) I’ve also got some traction wrapping on rest days, and in the long term I’ll be following the IPR protocol and do a decon every few months.

Update 2, 8-31 A Bit Embarrassing

So I figured I’d post a small update considering I got some fancy new hardware. A ruler. Until yesterday I was using exclusively a small tape measure for all of my measurements. I figured I was consistent enough and wasn’t lying to myself too much when I confirmed my latest measurement of ~7.3” BPEL, which is what seems to have solidified after the last breakthrough workout, with the solid ruler.

However, this wasn’t the actual embarrassing thing. I figured now that I have a ruler a standing measurement might be worthwhile. Now, up until this point it never really occurred to me that sitting and standing can have a pretty drastic effect on length. Turns out I’m nearly a full 0.4” shorter standing than sitting! Lessons learned I suppose, but it does give me a sort of new starting position, and I get to feel like 7” is a milestone again heh.

I figure that I was at least consistent enough with sitting position and measuring technique to know that growth at least occurred at some point in the last month or so, but some part of me didn’t trust that this would even work in the first place I suppose. I’ll continue to say I started at BPEL 6.8” because I measured a bit more than a year ago and fell right around 6.75”, and today with the ruler I am definitely a firm 7.3”, sitting that is!

Moving forward I’ll be measuring standing up, where I am currently BPEL 6.95”.
