Hey Martin, I wasn’t expecting to be the one to help anyone else on my 1st post.. I came here after finding a link about traction devices (which I use and interested in other peoples experiences and recommendations and other peoples experiences).
I saw your post and thought I may be able to offer you some help with this. I am sorry you have had such a bad experience and it doesn’t help when you can not get any good genuine advice and often told to just ‘forget about it’ for see how it goes in another 6 months etc.. Which is very bad advice.. You want to start treating this as soon as possible.
I also have a scar tissue issue.. Which has resulted in me from being very confident in myself and my natural penis size has always been something I have been more than happy with and gave me a lot of self confidence, to suddenly waking up one morning and noticing something doesn’t feel quite right. As we all have days when we are not feeling our normal selves I just let this go and after a few months I noticed my penis had a hard lump/tissue forming in the middle of the shaft. I saw the Dr who the sent me for a scan, which came back as having ‘PEYRONIES DISEASE’
I had heard of peyronies before and told the Dr this was a mistake as I know that if you suffer with that it means you have severe curvature of the penis when erect, which I did not have any curvature. I did some more research and found Peyronies doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have any curvature. The main cause is unknown and thought to happen after you have had some kind of trauma to the penis like over vigorous sex or some kind of accident to the penis (also there is some mention of Finasteride having some effect on the penis tissue if you have taken that before) which you do not detect any pain and it goes un-noticed for weeks or months until you just start noticing some pain or discomfort, penis length can also reduce in size up to 2" for some people (which is what I had happen to me, I went from being confidently above average size and never thought it would be an issue in my life to dropping way below average which is very shocking to experience as who would ever have thought that could happen! Unless you are aware of peyronies disease). This causes you do find it difficult to maintain an erection, size issue causes difficulty in having a partner and having a bad / embarrassing traumatic sexual experience which your partner instead of a enjoyable one and some pain even without an erection during the day which will usually last a few years until the scar is fully developed and then it will have set in and be very hard to do anything about other than having surgery which is the very last resort.
What normally happens is the Dr will then send you to a Urologist who will ‘usually’ offer you very standard poor textbook advice and recommendations, which involve:
1: Not doing anything and come back in another 6 months and see if it goes away by itself! (The worst advice you could get as once the scar is fully formed it is much harder to treat).
2: Take some Vit E twice a day and that will be all you need. (There is no medical evidence that Vit E will do anything what so ever to help which Peyronies)
3: Having surgery (the very last resort in the most extreme of cases)
I also had to wait 3 - 4 months before I could see the NHS Urologist and prior to that 2 months for a scan. So I had lost approx 6 months of my treatment time.
I found a gentleman by the name of John Parks on the internet that had a great deal of knowledge to share on self treating Peyronies disease as his case was extremely severe and he too was not getting anywhere with his specialists. He has a 90 degree bend and was considering suicide as he felt his wife would leave him but has now turned his life around and completely fixed his own Peyronies disease and talks openly to anyone that wants help with this on his website, he does this all for free.
I have been following his advice and only recently began his recommendations on the supplements you have take to help treat this condition along with exercises to help break down the scar tissue.
You may want to check his website out.. Which you will need to read through and see if this is going to help you and at least give you some much more well informed advice.. Than.’just wait another year and see how it goes’

He also has a video on youtube that introduces himself..
My advice is .. To make you own decisions.. Decide on what you believe will be the best option for you and do as much research as you can on the advice John Parks offers. This is also fairly new to me as only have only began following the advice John has set out.. But for me it has given me a great deal of hope and I know I am going to be able to do something about this now.. Other than nothing at all which was the advice from the Dr’s and Urologists.
Good luck.. Hope this helps educate anyone else that is also suffering or just was unaware of Peyronies disease and what it involves.
