I believe you, but that’s not to say things are declining. I just signed up to view the bloodwork done by the hospital and the one thing that is sticking out is a dangerously close kidney disorder.
My bloodwork from the hospital came back with:
- my kidney GFR rate at 78 mL/min. A few weeks prior it was 89, and before that - one year ago - it was ~110 - this is concerning as a 27-year-old, and very concerning when I consistently see bubbles in my urine… I really hope my kidneys are not going, as I have also been losing hair as mentioned previously.
- My anion gap also came back at 6 on a reference of 5-17 - low anion can indicate kidney problems as well.
- Blood glucose also came back at 111, as well as LDL cholesterol a few weeks ago around 111, which was high. I’ve had borderline high blood pressure the past few visits, and am reading that can impact kidney function negatively.
Again, the main things sticking out here are:
- declining kidney function (78 eGFR (<60 is chronic kidney disorder) and 1.13 creatinine (high range 1.18 and low is .73))
- accompanied with semi-high blood pressure (144/76)
- slightly elevated blood sugar at 111 (though that varies and has come back normal at times)
- slightly elevated LDL cholesterol (which may be causing the high blood pressure and decreased kidney function), as well as borderline low Anion (6 - lowest is 5 on the reference range) - also pointing to a decline in kidney function.
Neutrophils also came back high at 78% and Lymphs came back low at 14% - not sure what those mean though.
Edit: high neutrophils usually indicate a bacterial infection in the body. Low lymph at 14% also indicates a body having more difficulty fighting infections.
If there is a bacterial infection in the prostate, it might cause the rectum to tighten towards the opening, which is where I’m having the most pain/stinging when passing stool and the blood associated with it. I have never had my semen analyzed, only urine.
Either way, again, trying to maintain a level head throughout all of this. Still bleeding when I pass stools as well.
