You could argue either way. He may have been abnormally self-conscious. He may have experienced abnormal growth.
It is an interesting study.
“The origin of hypertrophy of the penis is not yet understood; from cases that have been reported to the medical profession, the disease would seem, in some manner, to be associated with injuries to the lymphatic vessels.”
It suggests that repetitious trauma could potentially generate a build-up of lymph fluid and this could result in hypertrophy (or the appearance of hypertrophy). That’s at least what the authors of the study seem to think.
This might imply that the length and girth gains that everyone experiences on this site could be the result of repetitious trauma.
There could be a compound in the fluid itself that leads to growth.
According to wikipedia:
“As a growth medium: In 1907 the zoologist Ross Granville Harrison demonstrated the growth of frog nerve cell processes in a medium of clotted lymph.”
There is an article about priapism, which states that megalophallus is due to lymph build-up. (This idea contradicts several other studies)
(I’m not aligning myself with this theory. Just throwing it out there.)
