Good luck

Actually there are a large group of people that have had some very serious side effects of Finasteride (Propecia). There is a Yahoo group devoted to propecia side effects. I would be very cautious about taking it.

I had side effects with Propecia. Not everyone will. But it is a hormone drug. Your aim is to block DHT to your scalp but it blocks it everywhere else to. Now it does work. But my side effects were to great.

I will agree on the revivogen thing but because I don’t take Propecia or any type of pill I need a little more magic.

Xandrox 15%/revivogen/Dr. Lee’s Ketoconazole 2%. Is my routine.
Revivogen does leave my head feeling very good. But weather it helps fight hair loss I don’t know.

Why does Nizoral ® (ketoconazole) help to stop hair loss? I looked, and could never find a straight answer.

If you cannot tolerate Finasteride then I recommend:

Minoxidil 5% twice a day
Nizoral 2% shampoo 3x a week
Spiro 5% cream once a day (preferably twice, although for many reasons this is not feasable)

I don’t have a link but I have read that it also blocks DHT and let me tell you it really made a big difference with me.

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931)

I used to get ketoconazole powder and make up to 8% Nizoral and didn’t notice anything.

I’ve hear account similar to your’s, I just don’t understand why.

It’s a anti-fungus shampoo. Who knows how it works. Fungus on your head can’t be good for hair growth. Plus Minoxidil causes dandruff and drying of the scalp. Like corn flake size dandruff. Big time. If your skin is flaking and itching around a hair follicle chances are you will scratch your scalp and scratch out the hair. This helps combat that problem. And like I said before regular dandruff shampoo doesn’t help balding. It hurts it. It is recommended to use with Minoxidil and most people who have researched MPB have found that you should use it. So just use it. You guys are getting to hung up on why or how it works. FDA government test Rogaine users all used this type of shampoo. It is not in anyway the main weapon against hair loss. Rogaine=dandruff. Nizoral 2% fights the dandruff without causing more hair loss.

The American Hair Loss Association is the recommended reference from WebMD. there web site is:

Most of the treatments other than minoxodil and propecia are listed under women’s hair loss for some reason. Here is what thay say about Nizoral

Quote
Nizoral/Ketoconazole

Available as a topical treatment by prescription, Ketoconazole is currently used as an antifungal agent in the treatment of fungal infections. It also has anti-androgenic effects and can cause a reduction in the production of testosterone and other androgens by the adrenal gland and by the male and female reproductive organs (in women, the ovaries). Because of this action, it can be used to help treat hair loss. Nizoral shampoo contains 2 percent Ketoconazole and is prescribed not only for the treatment of scalp conditions, but also in combination with other treatments for androgenetic alopecia. A 1 percent version is now available over-the-counter, but it may not be as effective as the 2 percent prescription strength. There are no significant side effects.

Horny Bastard

Hay guys I actually do consulting for a big hair company not sure if you have herd it advanced hair,

Anyways I was speaking to one of the consultants the other day, they usually charge 5K AUD to do laser hair replacement,

This involved about 15 laser sessions, then they put the customer on there own brand of Minoxidil, Shampoo, some sort of topical on there head, and they also give them Seranoa pills once again there own brand as a natural alternative to Propecia to stop DHT,

They are offering me all this for 1800 AUD, and she said to me that the minoxidil is nothing different from the generic brands, not 100 % sure about the topical

But I wanted to ask your thoughts about the Seranoa repens, has any one taken this, I’m prepared to do stuff to my head, but I’m not in the game to be taking pills that will affect all my hormones

Any advice would be great guys thank you

My wife has been criticizing me for my recent obsession with finding the cure for baldness. She mentioned Bruce Willis, who some people have said I resemble, and she said “if any of that stuff really worked, don’t you think Bruce Willis would have hair”? Good point, I thought.

If this is true you’re born under a lucky star! I’ve never seen anybody that looks quite as good as he does with wearing the meatcap! I think the main problem is the shape of your head and your neck. Thick and round is great but an egg shaped head will make you look worse. If I looked like Willis I’d give a fuck about going bald!

I think you’re right. If a man is good sized in height and weight, it seems he can get away with the bald look a little better. If you’re thinner like I am then you tend to look like Michael Stipe of REM. Also have you ever noticed how many guys that go for the bald look nowadays also grow goatees? It’s like they’re saying “if I can’t grow hair on my head at least I can grow it on my chin.”

Yeah, that makes a face look even longer. Definitely not recommended, I think.

Personally, I’m on Propecia for 2 1/2 years now without any side effects. Additionally, I’m using Regaine 5% (it’s Regaine here in Germany, not Rogaine) in the front of the scalp. I know they say it doesn’t help there but my doc told me about good results in combination with finasteride and for me it works. Taking this damn pill every day sucks though. :(

Or if your dick is 9x7 it would bring a lot of the attention away from your balding head. Then you don’t have to look like anybody but a husband with a huge cock.

Lol guys, some funny discussion,

I’m still waying up what to do with the post I put up before about advanced hair etc. And the deal they are giving me, does any one have any information / experience with Serenoa repens (Saw palmetto).

Still don’t know what to guys, my thoughts are I’m 22 if I give this a shot I might have hair for longer than 25,

If I don’t it’s gone by 25, will I be more stressed after 25, or just leave it

In regards to me I’m not a tall guy every says that the shape of my head suits me having short hair
So not sure

Such a stress! Lol
