Laser combs for hair loss?

Laser combs for hair loss?

Laser combs for hair loss? Anybody using any with any success? If so what the difference in them they range in price from 79 bucks to over a thousand?

Please enlighten me with your wisdom on this subject:)

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931)

I’d say combing in general is good for scalp health, and by extension, hair health.

Personally I think that those “Laser Combs” are kind of like the “Double-Core, Quad Conductor Plattananium Spark Plugs” that you see on the market that are advertised to give mileage and power increases. Sure, test results show that the “Double-Core, Quad Conductor Plattananium Spark Plugs” give an increase in mileage and power, but just changing to any new plugs after 200,000 miles on the old ones will do the same.

In conclusion: Effective: yes. Gimmick: yes. Effective Gimmick: yes. Effective Gimmickery: no.

Hairily yours,

GM

Damnit! there was something in the last year about a laser used to help in growing hair. My guess is it invigorates bloodflow of the scalp. Oh well, just wanted to share.

Supposedly, they are doing stem cell related experiments in this area with really promising results.

I haven’t heard anything good from them, they probably don’t work any better than using a laser mouse on your head, they seem like bullshit to me. Of course I am not 100% sure, just my opinion.

Well it can’t hurt to try, and it saves me the cost of a new mouse mat! :p

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

I was snooping around a few hair loss forums and I did read some positive posts but I’m not buying one unless I hear something positive from one of own members.

That’s cool, I’ve heard positives about Fin, Rogaine etc. Just not the laser yet, plus I wouldn’t know which brand to trust. That would be great if someone here had some results!

By the way the future looks bright for hair loss, quite a few different researches going into it lately. Here’s one interesting one that may come soon a couple of years more or less.

That’s very cool, I wonder what they will charge I can’t imagine it will be cheap.

I also can’t imagine how they will accomplish making a natural looking hairline for those who may want it. But you know it’s all too vague for now, who knows.

OK, I’ve tried lasers before. I can also safely say that I’ve tried every known hairloss treatment to man. It is kind of an obsession with me I’ll admit, and I still have a decent head of hair (diffuse thinning in the front) but I would look horrendous bald and am terrified of looking like my d!ckhead father (who IS bald)

I used the laser for 6 months. It was a pain in the butt to use eventhough you only need to do it every other day and I saw little in the way of results.

If you are serious about fighting hairloss I strongly suggest what is commonly known as the BIG 3. Finasteride, Minoxidil, and Nizoral. There are other effective treatments out there but these 3 should be your foundation.

If you are worried about taking an oral 5ar inhibitor like Finasteride then give a topical antiandrogen or 5ar inhibitor a try. I suggest either topical Spiro or Revivogen.

Good luck to everyone.
