No, that’s the nice thing about fish oil. It doesn’t work like a pharmaceutical or herbal supplement because it’s simply correcting a nutritional imbalance. If anything over time on the same dose the effect increases. I’ve been on my diet for seven years now. I did double the dose about halfway through after reading up, but haven’t noticed any tapering off of the effect. Quite the contrary, as my PC muscles have gotten stronger, well, it’s just ridiculous at this point.

Plenty of things reduce SHBG. A low carb diet, take ZMA, get protein at every meal. That’s why those things are on my diet, because of the SHBG-reducing effect.

BTW, Avena Sativa is just a fancy name for oats. Just eat a bowl of old-fashioned oatmeal every morning—get lots more than you would from an expensive pill.

Isn’t it cholesterol that is the basic material from which most hormones are formed? It has a bad rep because of it clogging up in places where it shouldn’t be, but to me that’s a bit like saying water is bad for you because you drown in it.

I have thought of it a bunch of times, but I really get my way when I go into the office and talk to the nurses or the nurse practioner that I usually deal with.

I could easily critisize them for not paying enough attention when I needed more tests done on the low testosterone shit. The truth is that there are very few doctors on the beach where I live and when you need them for the little things like a Z-pak or a regular refill on my propecia or you have the flu they are just around the corner and they ALWAYS fit me in.

After the nasty “you are fat” incident with my wife, my wife spent months looking for another doctor and ended up going to the mainland about 10 miles away. I know it doesnt sound like much but we have gotten so used to using only the things we can get on the beach we just think its a pain in the ass to do otherwise.
