PE After Botched Implant Surgery

Hello, Gentlemen; I need some help with a profound injury problem. I was doing well after a couple of years of PE following Thunder’s links. I had cancer and radical prostate surgery several years ago and subsequently lost about 2” of length and some girth as well. I regained all that and an inch extra back following the methods of hanging and stretching posted here. However, I was not able to achieve a usable erection and our sex life was frustrating to say the least. My wife of many years had given up on ever having normal coitus again; but I couldn’t give up that easily. So in May of ‘06 I had an Alpha 1 Prosthesis by Mentor implanted. The doc immediately left town for a ten day vacation; and I developed - almost immediately and while still in the hospital - a severe infection. Over the next ten days the docs filling in for my doc told me what I was experiencing was normal, that it was not an infection, that I should just take the antibiotic and follow the doc’s instructions. I was one more sick dude, hardly able to hold my head up; and when my doc returned, I called him and tried to describe my problem. He must have thought I was just a cry baby and only reluctantly saw me as a work-in. He looked me over and said it was just bruised and sore, more or less normal. But since I was fevered he ran a test just in case. I waited the length of time needed for the test to be analyzed in his Lab, and returned for the follow-up. Just as they were in the process of checking me out, he hurried in, explained he had just looked At the culture results and said I needed to go to the hospital immediately for removal of the prosthesis; that I had a severe infection and could not be treated with the prosthesis still in. That was 15 days after the implant was placed. After four days in the hospital I was well enough to go home, and with several weeks of antibiotics I was declared free of infection and in the next eight or nine months I finally healed. After about six months he told me it was the worst infection he had ever seen.

I lost 2 1/2 inches of penis length or more during that recovery process. Girth was dramatically decreased. He told me to wait a while and then start using my Vacuum Pump again. I was warned not to “over-do it” so I lagged in my use of the VED. I was told without another implant I would never have another erection except with the VED and restriction ring. I lost heart and didn’t use the pump again. I did, and still do some moderate stretching at times. Some degree of hopelessness has set in I suppose. I haven’t visited Thunder’s site in seven or eight months so I finally got the idea that maybe there was still some hope out there for me; so I decided to post and see what the results would be. Considering the internal scarring, is it safe for me to use my stretching device now? How should I start, if I can use it safely? If anyone has a little experience with my kind of problem, I sure could use some encouragement and advice.

I have to say, Willwin, that your positive attitude and determination is inspiring to read about. Not many members here are part of the “Three-Inches-Gained Club”. It saddens me to read of your unfortunate experience with the implant surgery.

It’s been over a year since the bad surgery, yes? What kind of manual stretching have you tried during that time? Can you feel the scar tissue in your penis, and have you done anything to break it down? What kind of pumping routine did you follow?

GM

Follow the newbie routine bro. Use heat to warm up. And do very gentle jelqs only about 50% erection. You should be on your way in no time. Also, I think oils and massaging daily help scar tissue.

In search of a perfect body, penis, and girl.

The search NO longer continues. :)

Thanks, GM, for the encouragement and suggestion to re-evaluate pumping. I was doing about ten hours pumping a week at one point, and as much hanging with four pounds of weights, sometimes more. Right now I have no capacity for erections so perhaps jelqing is to be less of an option than stretching and pumping? Also, there is a lot of scar tissue and I just have been trying to keep it from anymore shrinking. What do I do to stretch scar tissue, or maybe a better question would be, can scar tissue be stretched? I have only used hand stretching and a few uses of the Vac Cylinder. Would a TENS unit or Ultra Sound give any help in any way? The implant surgery was done in May ‘06 and it was removed two weeks later plus a day or two. I don’t seem to have lost any sensitivity in the glans and good orgasms are still possible. Will start the VED again and try the “noose” gently with some light weights and hand stretching on a newbie kind of routine. Thanks again for the good advice and interest. What are the possibilities open to me? What else can I tell you about my perceptions as to my condition that might be helpful?

2.) spaghettidick, thanks for the urging to do what I was really afraid to do, and I know I must be very careful. Just how careful must I be? I was into stretching and pumping for several years after my cancer surgery; and after I had learned a few things - no thanks to the doctors! - I became vigorous in my pursuit of PE, which payed off quite well. Now, since the surgery fiasco, I feel I have regained maybe an inch through the little bit of inconsistent stretching I’ve done; but when more than two inches was lost in the botched surgery, I have a long way to go to be back to what I was before. The seeming ease in regaining that inch gives me the idea that maybe it will come easier than it did originally; and then I think, maybe the tissues have been so weakened I might damage myself easily, too. Again, all suggestions and directions are appreciated.

Ww:

Specifically, what is the level of erectile function you still have, on your own, no VED or other aids?

Hey Bro I wish you the best that was a real gut wrenching story. I hope you can quickly reclaim some of what you have lost.

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. Thomas Edison (1847-1931)

Scar tissue has a low elastin content, so it does not stretch easily. When scar tissue forms, it creates a latticework of cross-linkages within it’s matrix. In order to regain pliability within the scar tissue, these cross-linkages need to be broken down. The safest way to do this is with jelqing as a form of ‘massage’. This can be done flaccid and still achieve results.

I doubt TENS or Ultrasound would be of any benefit. TENS is mostly useful for pain relief (it modifies nerve signals) and Ultrasound just creates heat within the tissues via vibration - a heat pack/IR lamp and jelqing will perform the functions you need more easily and thoroughly.

Combining your best attempts to create maximum pliability within the scar tissue, with the ability of the tissue it is connected to to perform normally under PE exercises should allow you to gain, but start gently and look for any problems as you go.

Good luck and please keep us informed of your progress.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Thanks for the input, firegoat; sounds like the pressure of vacuum and the massaging effects of jelq would certainly help. I doubted as to whether or not a TENS or Ultra Sound would help; but desperation drives a lot of hope! Is there some vitamin or supplement that might help with that process of creating maximum pliability in the scar tissue?

Dino9X7, Thanks for the kind encouragement. I didn’t tell half the sad story. Anger and disappointment almost drove me to law-suits on the hospital as well as the Good Doctor. If I had known he was leaving on vacation the day after the surgery I would have waited until he got back. His absence was the hammer that “drove the nail in” too deep to recover. I’m getting too old to do it a second time even if I could get my length back first.

Ww: Specifically, what is the level of erectile function you still have, on your own, no VED or other aids? ..

- Avocet8

Hi, avocet8; my level of erectile function is: None. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Etc. Not a twitch. I can pull on it and twist it and the reaction is a slight swelling. When they did the implant they said there was a possibility there would be a little latent erection capacity in addition to the implant’s inflation, but I never had a chance to find out. And when the prosthesis was removed the damage done then, plus the infection, did another number on the cavernosa. Before the surgery, the Tri-Mix gave some erection, but not enough for intercourse. There was some ache associated with the shots, too. I have been afraid to use the shots since the healing - since they sometimes cause more scar tissue.

That’s truely horrible what happened to you and I hope you will see improvement.

I hope it’s ok if I let my mind wander. Seeing your glans is still sensitive have you ever thought of pulling your dick through a hollow dildo with your glans sticking out for sex?

The hollow dildo is a new one to me, PIET; I never saw or heard of something like that. Where do I find one? How would one keep the penis from turtling back into the dildo? After the losses to surgery I don’t have a whole lot to work with. Thanks for the idea.

Ww;

In the course of all this, were you told what was the original cause of your ED?

_______________

avocet8

Willwin, you would have to modify a dildo yourself. However I came up with something easier.

I have a few bycicle innertires around which I purchased to find the right size for a wrap. I cut of a sleeve of the tire with the smallest diameter with the size of my flaccid stretched shaft length. I was able to unfold it over most of my shaft with my glans sticking out. I think the sleeve made my flaccid shaft rigid enough for intercourse, but you could also use a double layer. Unfortunately my glans would go in and out when moving the sleeve up and down. Could be better if you’re cut but I think it would only work if you tighten something around the sleeve just below your glans to keep your glans from slipping back in.

It may work with a constriction but it would limit the time you could use it to 10-20mins.

Ww;

In the course of all this, were you told what was the original cause of your ED?

Avocet8

~~~~~~~~~~~
Avocet8, I had a “gradual creeping” ED before my Radical Prostatectomy several years ago, and the doc said it was leakage of the vein system. Since my surgery for removal of the cancerous prostate, impotence has been consistent and only responsive to strictures or chemical reaction. I have not given it the old “Shock” treatment of several days running doses of Cialis or other erection inducing drugs. The general consensus of my doctors has been that the prostate surgery was the final straw causing my ED. I have been healthy all my life, no STDs or injuries, and I am uncut. One thing I haven’t mentioned is, there was some kind of incident or accident that happened with either the implant surgery or the removal of it two weeks later that cost me a testicle. The doc says the cord for it it there, and there is a small lump at the end of it; but it is high, nearly all the way into the inguinal canal. I told him the testicle was gone; he says it is still there. It doesn’t have the feel of a testicle and the pain usually associated with squeezing it. I don’t like the idea of arguing with my doc; but there doesn’t seem to be any answer as to what happened to my left testicle. I have just about lost my libido and I am on testosterone replacement therapy, and have been since a few years before this last surgery. ED and Impotence aren’t always exactly the same, I suppose; and I dislike both!
- Ww
Thanks for the innertube idea, Piet; will look for one. What size do I need?
This is a list I once made. It looks more accurate than it is because I estimated it in cm.
size / flaccid girth
1.25 3”-3.5”
1.5 3.3”-4.1”
1.75 4”-4.7”
When you find an innertire of the right size make sure the surface is smooth, some have lines on them which may not be comfortable for your wife.
I haven’t thought of anything you could use to ‘tie’ it in place so your glans won’t slip, but when you find something be careful to not hurt your nerves.
