Hi, what do you think, what is average?

As far as I concerned average size is some where near 6 inch BPEL (what gives about 5,5 NBPEL) and 5 girth (mid-shaft). Do you agree with it?:>

Most people seem to care a lot for what the average size is. I believe this is a misconception since what guys really want to know is whether they are in the top half or bottom half in terms of size. That means they need to look at the median, not the average. These coincide for certain distributions (i.e. normal), but for others they are different. The median is actually around 5.75". I’m not sure if it is NBPEL or BPEL; ParaGoomba says it’s NBPEL in the other thread but I have never found confirmation of this.

We assume NBP unless otherwise specified as BP is a fairly advanced notion— also bear in mind that condom studies aren’t concerned with your size but rather with insertable penile length.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. NBP it is, then.

If condom companies are concerned about “insertable penis length” then I think they would want to eliminate the fat pad variable. From reading Thunders we know that FAT PADS can VARY quite a bit, from miniscule to 2+ inches.

It seem to me that they would want to eliminate the variable of fat pad to have more accurate penis size info. They want their their condoms to fit everybody — the athletic guy and the couch potato.

The Teloken average = 5.7”

Lifestyle average = between 5.65” and 5.87”

The average is pretty much the same.

Average size of penis is exaggerated for sure. My years of research on penis size has convinced me that average penis size below 6” BPEL Also, In some amateur porn films I have seen most penises are around 5”+ NBPEL from my guess. On the basis of what I have read and seen, I will not be surprised if average BPEL is around 5.6” to 5.7”. Even in this site, I am sure some of us exaggerating our actual size.

Unfortunately, 6” average is considered unanimously true by most of us. This is the result of our ego-based exaggeration of self-measurement.

Sta-kool—- at the pubic bone cannot be assumed to mean Bone-Pressed— which is a specific term of art— at the pubic bone may simply mean at the point where the penis is attached.

Additionally, we cannot know whether the measurements were taken from the top or from the side

Measurements aren’t truly standardized until all are done by the exact same protocol- and that ain’t going to happen out in the world. Ultimately measurement is for your own benefit— and since we here at TP have agreed upon a relatively standard protocol to BPEL at least we can make the comparisons without too much discord.

Regardless- we all need to interpret the data in a way so as to confirm our own belief set- and it will take far more than simple additional information to overcome preexisting bias.

I assume that TP is a place of naked honesty— what I tell you is true so I assume that what you tell me is likewise.

I have no benefit from telling you other than truth— what do I care if you believe my cock to be 7.5 BPEL or not. The benefit of TP to me is that I am utterly naked.

The piss on the Lifestyles study was the way they selected the study participants if I remember correctly.

Hmmm, yeah, now I don’t remember why I inferred that the Lifestyles study was NBP. In any case, if it was NBP, it produced the largest average of all decent studies, probably because of selection bias (only the “big boys” on spring break wanting to get measured by nurses). If it was BP, then its average was similar to that of most studies. Then again, the spring break boys may have been in good enough shape that NBP and BP didn’t differ much for them.
